I'm not sure why everybody is so obsessed with dealing Filppula. He's really the only "Middle range" guy that we have, in the sense that he's gonna be the guy to pick up the slack when Datsyuk and Zetterberg are trending down but guys like Jarnkrok and Nyquist aren't completely trending up yet.
Not to mention no matter what he's worth his value is at a low because his contract is almost up.
