He's more valuable to his team as a C, in most situations there's no sense to use him as a wing.

Never seen him play wing.

It would be a real waste to play him on the wing. One of the greatest strengths to his game is his 2-way positional play, the way he can break up plays defensively, and break down defences offensively. He has great vision, he really understands what's going on all around him, you want a player like that in the middle of the ice. Confining him to one wing, and having him simply cover a point man in the defensive zone, would really be a waste of his talent. Of the top centre prospects that I've seen a good amount of in this draft (Barkov, MacKinnon, Monahan and Lazar; haven't seen Lindholm), I'd say Barkov is the "purest" centre of the group.

I believe you are correct. 3 years for playoffs, and 4 for the 1st overall

Sasha showed his great physical abilitys, when he won the battle against HPK player in the corner and gave a nice no look pass to Jerry Ahtola who had easy job to make it 1-3 game.

HPK almost equalized to 2-2 and from next attack Tappara (by Ahtola goal, from Barkov assist) executes 1-3.

That was such a sick pass by Barkov.
The whole sequence leading to the goal was weird, it was relly close to being a goal on the other end of the ice right before Tappara scored.

Ha, Fans from Finland would hate that. Who would play center in future WC's for Finland with Koivu, Granlund and Barkov all on the wild(assuming they figure out their is a post season they can play in)

Great battle in the corner but the pass was slightly lucky. Nice pass anyway.

What the heck did I just see? The question is, did he know Ahtola is there or was it just a blind-pass? I would like to hear his answer.

I watched the game and to me it looked like Barkov took a quick look over his shoulder before spinning around and passing. Still you obviously need some luck too when passing like that.
