Lauridsen gets into a scrum. A lot of activity / jawing going on. When it is all sorted out Norfolk comes away with a PP.

Titans also get a W in a comeback effort. Johnston had a goal in his first game, then got boarded with under 2 mins left in the 3rd. Had a nasty cut on his head, but made it to postgame interviews, and seemed good. Konan had an assist in his first pro game, Niko was a late scratch with illness, re-opening the door for Wedgewood

... who seemed to have done well, saving 25 out of 27

Indeed, another opportunity squandered by Niko. Though Wedgewood hasn't done well in back to backs (they play tomorrow as well), so perhaps if he's healthy, Niko will get the nod.

Scott Laughton returned to the Oshawa lineup last night after serving his 10 game suspension and had a goal and an assist against the 67's. For the season, Laughton has 6 goals, 10 assists in 16 games.

Not trying to nitpick, but his second game back. He returned on Sunday, against Mississauga - picking up an assist in the loss. I only mention because last night I would assume he played his normal ice-time, whereas his return saw him get limited action. He started the game on the third line, but had worked his way back up to the second line by the end of the game - although was playing some wing to accomodate for that.

I was actually able to attend the Phantoms game last night, I thought it was a very good game. Schenn and Couts looked great out there, especially on the side boards of the power play together. I love seeing Couts at the point for the PP. Mcginn killed Clark in his bought. The game had great intensity all night.

Impossible! According to all the experts on this board, Couturier will, at best, be a 3rd line checking forward in the NHL

On the Flyer's board? I think most of us have seen him play enough to realize he could be the second best player on this team sooner than later

lol..... Remember when people said that Couturier had no business being on the team after he put on a stellar performance in training camp and that he was going to get pushed around at the NHL level? Funny how that sentiment changed at the end of the year. Love what he's doing at the AHL level right now. It's very similar to what Eric Staal did when he played there during the last lockout.

Nice assist by Schenner.

But that powerplay is abysmal.

A few thoughts from this weekends Phantoms games (2 intermission of the Saturday game)... Harry Z looks really good. He has created a whole bunch of scoring opportunities with his speed and overall seems to be the 3rd best forward on the team (obv 10 and 14 are the best).

I'm disappointed Wellwood is a healthy scratch again. Even before this season it seemed that he was a better NHL player than an AHL one. I guess that is still the case, or he is flat dogging it.

Our overall team defense has really improved from earlier this year. I was quite surprised how bad Gus and Bourdon looked in the early season games. It's possible they just needed time to adjust to Murray's style, because they look a ton better now. The same can be said for Manning.

I should also mention Rinaldo because he leaps off the screen on a regular basis for good reasons. I've liked him almost every game I've seen all season, and that has continued this weekend.

I heard Bordson's name a lot last night, what's he, a more physical defensive player?

I wouldn't say physical, but yeah, a defensive minded center.
