Been playing NHL 13 and Borderlands 2. Just bought a PS3 Holiday Bundle, so picked up two of the Uncharted and Infamous games. Also picked up Demon's Souls, Dishonored, and Uncharted 3 at Gamestop's buy 2 get 1 used game free deal.

Been alternating between Saints Row 2 for the PS3 and Red Dead Redemption for the Xbox 360. My buddy has RDR on the 360 so even though I hit 100% completion of RDR on my PS3 like 2 years ago...I've been helping him get it now for the 360.

Just picked up Sleeping Dogs for my PS3 for $29.99 at EBGames this morning. It's still regular $59.99 but they have it until Monday for $29.99. Yay for sales.

I just finished the original Unreal and its expansion "Return to Na Pali". Great game with the most entertaining and unique weapons I've ever seen in an FPS.

Now trying to decide if I should start Quake 1, which has more of a dark, lovecraftian theme to it, or Quake 2, which is much more sci-fi-ish. Both are extremely fun games. I have all the expansions for both 1 and 2, and I have yet to play any of them.

Might wanna skip Unreal 2 though.

Personally I would go straight through in order. There is a very good reason why Q1 has a lovecraftian theme though. Sandy Petersen was a major level designer on Quake ( and Doom). He's a big Lovecraft guy and was the designer of the Call of Cthulhu PNP game.

I just watched an interview with him recently here.

Just is case you don't know every enemy soldier is actually Tom Brady who can mange to throw a grenade right at your feet every single time.

Finally got the trio of Atelier games for the PS3 (Rorona, Totori, Meruru)... I'm playing Rorona first.

Seriously, what the hell? This game is awkward

I've tried multiple times to platinum that game, I've got a couple veteran trophies but usually give up pretty quickly out of frustration, whereas the modern warfare games were easy in veteran.

Black Ops 2 is really easy. I beat MW2 and MW3 on Veteran. I refuse to play those campaigns on anything lower because of the simplicity. The Spec Ops missions on Veteran (for MW2) were ridiculous; at least a few of them were.

Everything gets more and more streamlined as it goes. The gap between Rorona and Totori is to the point where I don't think anyone would be able to tolerate going back and trying to play Rorona.

A lot of story elements just sort of disappear unless you're either doing everything perfectly or using a FAQ though, in all of them. Cutoff dates for event progression and such; miss something and that characters route is gone.

I recently finished KOTOR & KOTOR 2. Now I'm starting Dragon Age: Origins. Although I'm going to try to drag this one out a little longer than the KOTOR games. I beat those games way too fast (very very long play sessions).

Over the weekend I picked up Dynamite Headdy on cart. Old school systems look awful on new TVs and I was seriously considering dropping about $50-$80 on the Scart box and cables. When I saw Headdy was on the Sonic Collection my decision was made for me.

Why o' why did it take me EIGHTEEN YEARS to play this?

Even sadder is that Gunstar Heroes (cart and 360) is one of my all time favorites. I bought it, sold it, and then repurchased it. I also own Guardian Heroes (Saturn Import and 360), Silhouette Mirage (Saturn Import. Still have never properly experienced it), and Ikaruga (360. I am lucky if I can finish it let alone chain on any stage after 1). So the minor love affair with Treasure is obvious.

I think Headdy got lost for me cause it was that or Earthworm Jim in '94. I chose Jim (still an awesome choice), but it took me way too long to play this game.

Amazing.

So this is what I've been missing out on since the 360's launch date. This game is addicting! I've always been a 3PS fan, but man, I didn't know FPS could be this fun.

I still need to play Call of Duty 2. I hate what Call of Duty has become but the first one was amazing for its time. I heard CoD2 has a really good Omaha Beach-like level which is a ton of fun.

Speaking of which though, I did recently buy Medal of Honor Allied Assault on eBay, can't wait to fire that one up and fight through the Omaha Beach mission. I remember watching my brother play MOHAA on the hardest difficulty and it took him something like 5 hours just to beat the Omaha Beach mission.

I've been playing Mark of the Ninja myself the past couple of days, it's a really fun 2D platformer that focuses on stealth, first I've seen like this. One of the few bright spots of this year in gaming IMO.
