I don't think Rafa's style will fit Chelsea. they have too many players who want to go forward and too many young flair guys. he wants to control and dictate the pace too much.

Caulker ruins Lloris' clean sheet, and moments later Sandro is carried off the field. Nothing comes easy it seems.

I'm a big Chelsea fan, but he generates nothing. And every time he is one on one with the defender he loses the ball and falls down, or falls down and loses the ball. Why he keeps starting is beyond me

it's simple. there are 50 million reasons he is starting. (well, more than that when you count his wage packet)

Torres was done physically the last year Benitez was in charge but I and many other fans were in absolute denial over it, no Rafa won't get anything out of him because it isn't there.

there's something there. He's just lost his pace. He used that to create space for his shot, and now that it isn't there, he's hard pressed to lead the line in a 4-5-1.

He never played well with another striker (though Gerrard in the hole worked decently well) but now that his pace is gone, and his touch is failing him, he won't be any different.

50 mill for that?...could very well be the worst purchase in premier league history, if not the worst, then easily top 3 when considering $ spent to quality received.

Andy Carroll is the worst for me, at least Torres was a proven quality player before being sold for a ridiculous amount

Shevchenko, Carroll, Aquilani, and Veron were worse. Rebrov and Jeffers too. That 50m got Chelsea to the CL Final, I do not think they can feel too aggrieved.

Carroll....I have to agree.
Torres is second worst...that's how I see it.
I can't get over the cost to quality ratio that was received to Chelsea....absolutly brutal return on the dollar.

Shevchenko for sure. Carroll has proved he can do well, I think he just doesn't fit in with Liverpool. With the England Squad & West Ham, he seems to play with more freedom. The price tag is really what is killing Carroll.

I stand corrected.

not that long ago, I saw him as the greatest striker in the world. such a joy to watch...I was never a Pool fan, but would tune in games to watch him play....on his day, he was unstoppable.

Overall shocking performances. Id be pleased with 2 or 3pts from the next two matches. Dunno how this lineup will get it but its what id take.

Stay healthy - period.

They can play decent football when healthy and not suspended. Not pretty but not 3-straight-losses awful either.

Theyre in the knockout stages of EL and hopefully not one single typical starter gets the final group stage match at Bordeaux. Run out reserves and kids giving everyone a rest and risking no one for the run into January.

Hopefully no one goes and they can bring in cover that was so desperately needed in August but Ashley wouldnt spend. Lots of supporters are screaming for Pardew's head but their injury/suspended lineup wouldve won against the lineup that faced Southampton.
