Well not exactly. Call a Timeout at 2:18 and the Colts run two plays before the 2 minute warning and one exactly starting at 2:00. Instead you waste the duration of the two plays after the Two Minute Warning

Doesn't matter anyways. Colts win on a questionable pass-interference call.

What a PI call to end a game on. We can't catch a single break

Bills had the ball with 9 minutes to go, down by one score, Spiller never ran the ball again......

I've been a huge chan apologist, but he needs to go. That is just unacceptable. I know Spiller is suspect in pass protection but that is no excuse to take him out of the game.

It was a weak call to end the game. Let the players decide it, not the officials.

How about the PI near the end of the half when it wasn't even close to being a catchable ball?

Doesn't matter. He has to turn the receiver before the ball arrives and his other hand defended the pass before Wayne turned.

But yeah. They need a quarterback and a coach. Nothing new.

We might as well just lose the rest of the games to get a good pick, hopefully Te'o.
But knowing the Bills, "With the 7th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select...Marcus Lattimore, running back, South Carolina.

Time to root for teams with the worse record now to help improve the Bills draft position.

Go Chargers!

I've got one foot on the "Fire Chan" bandwagon.

Simply putrid playcalling today. Holding the Colts to 13 offensive points (hell, 20 points) SHOULD be enough to beat that terrible defense.

Yet, Chan completely abandons the WORKING RUNNING GAME in favor of a BLATANTLY TERRIBLE Fitz.

CJ's last 4 runs for the game.....

Never saw another run. A joke. They had all the time in the world, a perfect opportunity to spread out the defense and run a draw with CJ.

We gave Gailey his chance, but it should be painfully, painfully obvious that he is done as a head coach. I've never seen worse play calling.

And, unsurprisingly, CJ average 7.1ypc today. But why run the ball?

100% agreed.

Hell, they weren't even running with Jackson either...Chan basically decided he was going to pass and stuck Jackson in there as a blocker...despite the fact that the running game was working...

I'd say I understand what it feels like to be a Bluejackets fan, thanks to the Bills, but they made the playoffs recently.

I'm not even that disgusted with the 4th quarter playcalling. Maybe I was already resigned to them losing.

But the 1st half time management at the end of the half (the time to run a draw or screen is on 2nd and 10, not 3rd and 10 - the Colts should have never gotten the ball back) and the punt from Indy's 34 IN A FREAKING DOME was the last straw for me.

Fitz didn't have a good game. He was 1 for 3 on available big plays in the first half (our pass protection wasn't good enough in the 2nd half for those plays to be there). But as long as we have a new coach next year, I'm ok with Fitz at QB for the short term. It's not like we lost this game at the QB position - Luck wasn't all that either (and yes - I understand that his ceiling is much, much, much higher than Fitz's....but this year Fitzpatrick has been the better QB. Indy is going to make the playoffs because the rest of their team is better than Buffalo (even if it's just the Pagano motivation).

Here's the thing with CJ. You almost have to consider his YPC in a passing context. He gets 0 or negative much more often than Jackson...but also breaks the big play.

I think Jackson was criminally underused in the first half. Spiller should not be the starter. He's not as good of a blocker, and he's not as good of a 1st and 10 runner between the tackles. I thought this was fairly clear after the Miami game, but somehow 22 carries and 90 some yards was a "breakout game" even though it was something like 2 yards per carry worse than his normal output. LOLwut? With just Spiller, the Bills could be in the top third of the league in running. The Jackson/Spiller duo, used right, is much, much better than that.

Bills team is better than Colts (see 2-14 season). Fitz hasn't outplayed Luck this season.. If Fitz would of out played Luck today the Bills would of won 31-23.... deep passes can't be completed and that is with the play-action in full gear.

Maybe he's like the poster on here that once argued andrej sekera always sucks after getting X amount of ice time. Like, chan thinks spiller's useless if he gets more than 13-15 touches. that's literally the only explanation I have. Chan's excuse for not using him enough every time is "we're taking what the defense gives us." your qb can't complete a pass to save his life, their defense is stopping most of your wideouts, and your running back ripped off gains of 23, 25, and 41 yards at different points in the game...so you keep throwing? AND you have fred jackson in there...that's a monster 1-2 punch. You have the guy who can consistently get at least 2-4 yards between the tackles, make something out of nothing, get YAC, and block/catch in jackson. And you have the home run/open field threat in spiller

First of all, we're not comparing Luck to whoever it was that played QB for the Colts last season.

And I'll just go ahead and disagree with your 2nd point too. The Colts pass rush terrorized the Bills today. Five and seven step drops were impossible today for the Bills passing game. #93 (I think that's Freeney) was around the corner and made Fitz step up prematurely all game long. The Bills DL didn't play poorly, but it wasn't nearly as dominant.

I'm not necessarily convinced the Colts are better than the Bills talent wise, to be honest. The Chuckstrong thing almost undeniably got them an extra win (that was the GB game where Pagano addressed the team at halftime a week after being diagnosed with cancer) and then it's just a matter of looking at the schedules. Gailey throws away 6 points in the first half, +3 for home field advantage (that's the Vegas standard), and you're looking at two pretty evenly matched teams.

And let's keep in mind that I said that Fitz didn't play well today. But the fact is that the Colts offense has not been as good as you would think.
