Is King hurt? He's not even playing tonight.

Fantastic period! The power play was unbelievable! At the game right now. Not a popular guy right now! Lots of disgruntled falcon fans!

As for King, looking for info on him. He didn't play last night either. Lokti is also missing his 3rd game in a row! I

What's wrong with Andrei Loktionov? I have him in a keeper fantasy league and been following him, and notice he hasn't played in a few games, yet every time I google Loktionov injury it comes up with nothing.

Bad puck possession along the boards (which is something he should be good at), bad puck possession in the middle of the ice. I've been pretty disappointed in his play this season. He needs to step it up if he wants to find himself a regular spot on the Kings if the NHL does eventually return.
After his performance in the playoffs, he can take the rest of his career off and I'd still be a DK fan.

Well said. I nver expected much from him and he gave us more than any of us dreamed. I expected him to come to earth as a King this year and even if he's beefing it at the AHL I don't care.

King and Lokti are both hurt, won't be back in the lineup for a while.

That sucks! Injuries are piling up. Any idea on what the injures are?

Although... The team has been playing pretty well without them. Go figure!

highlights from tonight's 4-3 shoot out win over the Springfield Falcons (Blue Jackets)

http://ahl.neulion.com/ahl/console.jsp?catid=2&id=6264

Monarchs played a good game tonight! The power play was awesome! As was the even strength. Several moments of pure domination! Especially when 4 on 4. Had some mistakes and the Falcons are good team and made them pay for it, but all in all a great effort.

Peter Mannino's style in net makes me nervous though! He's seem very frantic in net. Kinda like a Tim Tomas. But he's got a SICK glove hand and is pretty good (aggressive) in shoot outs, as I thought he might be. He's gotta loose the Winnipeg Jets mask though!

oh I know there way of thinking. Despite the injuries they have been hanging in there. Gotta get Jones to be more consistant tho. They sure could use him to get really hot right now till they start getting bodies back.
Like what I see out of the kids like Toffoli tho.

Yeah, the Kings are very lucky that they have the luxury to do this. Not only do they have the correct mentality but the Kings have the talent to do this as well. It's the best way to develop talent, the "veterans" are guys who are still decent prospects in Cliche, Campbell, Bodnarchuk, etc. That really works to develop talent for the NHL, and as the Kings have shown Manchester still stays very competitive.

It's incredibly lucky to have this. My other team the Jets seems at times to care more about St. John's winning than the Jets. The Asst. GM Heisinger (who was GM of the Manitoba Moose) was literally in tears when the Moose had to move so that the Jets could come. Let me clarify, in tears at the Moose moving, NOT because the Jets were coming. His priorities are completely screwed up and it results in a bunch of contracts handed out to veterans so that St. John's can compete, taking away the prospect of good ice for prospects (ie Jason Jaffray, Aaron Gagnon, Derek Meech, etc). It is frusterating to no end to see quality prospects sitting in the press box so that these useless veterans can play and eek out 1-2 more points in the standings for the freaking AHL team. It's a joke.

Muzzin scores from the slot to put the Monarchs up 1-0. Nolan made a nice play down low to get it out to Muzzin at the point.

Why Muzzin is even on the PK is beyond me. The guy is a turnover machine.

Well the Monarchs are pretty shorthanded on defense right now.

Hickey, Bodnarchuk, Deslauriers, Voynov all better options right now.

Toffoli is just ridiculous. Goal #9 on the year. Monarchs up 2-1.

edit: ....anddd it would not be a true Monarchs game without them blowing a lead late in the game. Game tied 2-2.

Monarchs are taken down 3-2 in OT. Rundblad with a beauty.

That was only a beauty because Hickey and Bodnarchuk let him walk in with barely any effort put into stopping him. Their defense was pathetic all game, so it's only fitting that's the play that ended it.

Agreed. Jones was the only reason the Monarchs were still in it. Monarchs have been consistently bad on defense.
