I didn't even know they had Hannu Toivunen. I'm guessing they got rid of him because they have enough depth. Man, when I was a little kid I thought he was going to be the best. Oh, how the stars have shifted. You'd think he'd play oversees for better pay.

I love how
both of you got his name wrong
(it's Hannu Toivonen)
But yeah, he played in Swedish Allsvenskan (2nd highest league) last year but the team folded so he signed with Solar Bears this month.

Oh.
Hank Hope would be a direct translation, even if "Hannu" as a name is derivative of "Johannes" (John) from the Bible. And obviously, toivo = hope.

Agreed - It's been the Fonzie and Zucker show lately.

Johannes is actually Latin, so it is from the Latin translation of the NT, which of course was actually written in Greek where the name is "Ióannés" .
The Aramaic name from which this all comes from is something like "Yehochanan" (God is gracious) - or thereabouts.
Now - back to hockey!

Aeros looking great early on. Best they have looked since Granlund and Brodin went down. Zucker with two scoring chances. Starting PP right now.

Heat tie it up 1-1. One of those periods where Aeros dominate play and then Heat come down and get 3 or 4 shots on one shift and score.

Didn't see it. Possibly accidental contact.

Couldn't see the high stick. If Croft called it, no telling if it really happened or not.
