I'm not an IceCaps' fan, but I'd like to point something about about the Detroit/Nashville toughness thing. The Red Wings have NOT won since they got rid of their tough guys. Nashville has Brian McGrattan, Paul Gaustad, and had Jordin Tootoo.

Sigh, a fighter debate? Fighters are history, gone, the past. Kevin Westgarth did not play after early January, only played 3-4 games with Sutter when he had no other option due to roster limits. Why? Because he held the team back, useless tool. They could not roll 4 lines at opponents, could not attack and forecheck hard and wear teams down since the dinosaur could not keep up to the play. Guys like
Clifford, Thornton, Burish, McCarty are not fighters, they are energy line players. They can skate, can forecheck, can hit. I am not against those type of players, these are the type of players you build "team toughness" with. That being said, you are not looking to these guys to fight and take on that responsibility, as it should be. Lucic is a scoring line player? Godard, Downey are more dinosaurs that did NOTHING AT ALL to help the teams win, and were benched after christmas. What's the point? Adams, as in Craig Adams? He does not fight...
