War Damn Eagle. Only way to salvage this season is to beat Bama. Absolutely zero expectation for it to actually happen, but I can hope.

Haha I was like WHO THE HELL IS HVK AND WHY IS HE GETTING ASKED ABOUT TITUS INSTEAD OF ME? Then I remembered that's me. I've listened to it a lot; picked up a copy of it on vinyl as well. I really like it. It's obviously no Monitor and probably not as good as the first album either, but it's a solid record. I love the first three songs. "My Eating Disorder" is absurd. Hopefully they will return to some heavier material in the future, but for a follow up to The Monitor I think this album makes sense.

I also got a chance to see them at the legendary First Unitarian Church in Philly the day after the album came out. Wild show. Going to see them in NYC in a couple weeks as well, which will make my eighth Titus show. Ridiculous.

Those first three along with "In a Big City" and "In a Small Body" are my favorites on the album. I agree it's the worst of the three but still a VERY good album (and expecting them to live up to The Monitor was probably unreasonable in the first place).

I still need to see them live, tough to catch any concerts in Atlanta without a car, but hopefully I can work something out.

Cheater.

Besides, Clemson would only have one loss by then too. (Waits on garnetpalmetto's response)
Nuke!! More like Clemson's season is nuked. At least you guys can't set a points against record this year.

Good job Clemson. I wasn't expecting us to get blown out playing at Silent Valley with our back up, but damn. Clemson must really suck. Oh well.

I swear to god I could coach better than Lane Kiffin. 9 pt Game with 5:50 left and 1st & Goal on the 1. 3 minutes later it's 4th & goal (after a penalty gave them a new 1st) on the 1....

Seriously dude, how the ******* are you even a coach? If I was your father I'd be embarassed

Also, I hope everyone in South Bend is looking forward to getting crushed by the Tide. I was more worried about having to maybe play Florida than I am about the Irish. Lacy and Yeldon will have their way with that D, and Golson ain't seen a D like the Tide's. They'll be lucky to score 10.

Sure, rub it in a bit there.

If only our secondary knew how to cover Ace Sanders or if our O-line knew how to stop Clowney...

How about this one?

As an aside, sorry I've been inactive for awhile here guys - dealing with some family emergencies and having to go back and forth to Columbia, SC (where my mother doesn't have any internet access). Thoughts and prayers appreciated - my mother (who turned 81 last month) had a major stroke earlier this month - there's a lot of up and down this time and I'm hoping she continues to hang on.

Back onto business - WTF State? TOB seemed to have the program on the right path and it takes awhile to build a winning program. Hell, it took Holtz and Spurrier to turn South Carolina from one of the SEC East's afterthoughts (including an 0-11 record in Holtz's first season) into a team in the mix for a division championship each year. There's nothing to be ashamed of in what O'Brien accomplished and I can only think that State's boosters must have some unrealistic expectations. This isn't prolonged mediocrity a'la Lowe. Yes the ACC is a weaksauce conference, but that doesn't mean you'll run the table every year in it. You take the good with the bad and O'Brien hardly ran a mediocre program. If the rumors that Franklin will be coming from Vandy, I would be a little worried if I were him. Low expectations at Vandy means you can make it into a low tier bowl and be happy. Plus he's not accountable to an AD over there. I worry that the lions will eat him alive over at State.

Lowe wasn't prolonged mediocrity. Lowe was prolonged embarrassment. TOB was prolonged mediocrity. Below .500 in the ACC the last six years is nothing to be proud of. Yow won't accept mediocrity, and seeing how Gottfried has turned the basketball program around so quickly, I trust her judgment on coaches completely.
