Its a headache most of us would welcome, especially in June.

Looks like the Dodgers are talking about a 20 year tv deal with Fox. The numbers I have read about seem to be around 6-7 billion. Thats pretty crazy.

Now that Time Warner Sportsnet is on DirecTV, I was hoping the Dodgers would make the move there. Fox's coverage sucks. FSN is so obselete outside of the local sports teams. What else do they even show when there's no live event that involves one of the LA area teams?

I just wish we got a decent pre and post game. I mean, the Padres get a full hour of pre game and thats with the new Fox deal, so hopefully they do the same. I cant see how a Dodgers classic game wouldnt get better coverage then local golf tournaments.

Dunno. 1/2 hour is enough for me. Speaking of pregame shows, I'm still pissed off that FSN got rid of Kings pregame shows several years ago.

I just wish it was on a channel that people outside of L.A. could watch.

You aren't the only one.Out of all the team FS carries, I believe only the Kings and Hurricanes didn't have a pregame show. Even Columbus had one.

My understanding is with the new deal the Kings and FSW signed, we will see a full pregame show.

The Kings were probably on the most crowded channel at the time though. Now....not so much, unless they get rid of PT.

I don't like the Time Warner channel. It seems like lower quality video.

Don't think they'll get rid of PT. Still too many teams to keep on one channel even with the Lakers out of the picture especially during Spring when baseball, hockey, and basketball are all on.

The reason why I hated FS for getting rid of Kings pregame shows was not so much because I always tune in to watch them. It was because FS showed a total lack of respect for hockey and the two SoCal teams. The Dodgers and the Angels have 30-minute shows while the Clippers and the Lakers have (well, had for the Lakers) one-hour shows. Even when on the road, the Clippers and the two baseball teams have pregame shows. Add the fact that FS hired separate analysts for basketball and baseball while they only use Fox and Hayward for their post game shows.

The coaches office must have padded walls. Around 20 TO's a game, the inability of anybody other than Kobe to make a free throw or a three pointer. It makes me want to bash my head into a wall, I can't imagine how the coach must feel. Throw a night of great defense out the window by allowing a lay up to win the game.

It's easy to play great defense against the Pacers, since their offense is so pathetic.

But give credit where credit is due...the Pacers probably have the best team defense in the league.

Really, Frisco? Really?

http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?se...les&id=8900300

Quote:
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The city of San Francisco is suing the Dodgers for $1.2 million for unpaid medical bills for Bryan Stow, the Giants fan who was beaten in the Dodger Stadium parking lot on opening day in March 2011.

The 43-year-old Northern California paramedic suffered severe brain damage. After spending a few months in a Los Angeles hospital, Stow was transferred to San Francisco General Hospital. He spent five months there before being transferred to a rehabilitation facility. The amount San Francisco is seeking adds up to what Stow's medical insurance didn't cover.

I've always backed him, but absolute power corrupts absolutely. He's been in far too long, and its time for him to retire.

Right now. Not on February 1, 2014. Right now.

Yeah, I find that unbelievable.

If Sutter had decided to sit Quick, Kopitar, Doughty, and Richards for a game I may not agree with his decision to take a loss just to give a few players a rest, and if I had tickets to the game I'd probably be disappointed.

But if the NHL then fined the team 250k for doing so, I'd be outraged. I don't see how the league can get away with that.

Los Angeles (and AEG) are double champions of 2012 in pro sports. Kings and Galaxy!!!!!!! Thank you, Becks (and maybe Landon)!

That was a sweet comeback. They stepped on the gas in the second half.

AEG would have been champions regardless. In a strange quirk, AEG owns both teams (Los Angeles AND Houston).

So AEG knew they already wrapped up the MLS Cup two weeks ago. It was just a matter of whose little plaque was going on the Cup.
