Highlights from the latest Karlsson's Jokerit game: http://www.iltalehti.fi/iltvsmliiga/...13394_v8.shtml

Karlsson's first assist @ 0:42. More like a wicked shot that hit Ruutu on the way in. The goal was credited to Ruutu. Second assist @ 1:24. You can't actually see the pass as it has already happened. Teemu Eronen, Karlsson's trusted Dman in Jokerit, takes the puck in and passes to Moses who scores.

Karlsson's mishap @ 2:06. I don't know what he was thinking. He just lets the Blues player go past him without even trying to stop him and Tomi Sallinen, the Blues player, scores. Brainfart?

Jesse Winchester's (the best name ever?) Friday's game highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qrfy...E&feature=plcp

Jesse's assist @ 0:56. A BIG hit by Jesse @ 1:37 and his message @ 3:42.

Sometimes he just lets players go by him because he knows he's done enough to win the game.

1:24 goal, Karlsson shot like a video game character, from far out, large wind up, beauty.

As for that mishap, well maybe Karlsson wouldn't have looked as foolish if his D partner didn't follow a player that was going off to the bench, but probably a little carelessness. In the NHL, if he saw a good player there, he'd probably put in an effort.

How do the fans feel about Karlsson and the team?

Fans are loving every minute Erik's playing. There's already a lot of fans wearing Jokerit 65 Karlsson jerseys. Mainly younger generation. Because of the lockout, there has been significant rise in attendance this season. It's not just Karlsson but also Detroit's Valtteri Filppula. And this is true across the league, attendance in every city has risen. For example Karlsson's Jokerit has an average 10,006 people attending at the moment when last year it was 9,173.

Of course fans also know that Karlsson ain't no hockey god so he makes mistakes and sometimes they cost Jokerit but overall who wouldn't want maybe the best offensive dman in the world in their team? Even opposing team fans come to see Erik when Jokerit play away games.

Gotta love 69MM...

As for not dropping the gloves, its a straight game misconduct for dropping the gloves... He said in an interview that he just wanted to push hin away from the goalie and not fight...

Mickey needs to switch to 69 full time. Never seen that kind of fight out of him.

What a sissy. The guy was also trying to through punches with gloves on to get away with a few and seem innocent, LOL.

Michalek seems to have some more jump in his game with dat 69.

Turris played today. His team Kärpät lost to Tappara. Justin Braun of the Sharks played his first game for Tappara and had an assist for the GWG.

Tomorrow Turris's team plays against Lukko and Karlsson's against Tappara. Games start at 11:30 AM Ottawa time.

NOV 28, 2012: KÄRPÄT @ TAPPARA 1 - 3
G 0, A 0, P 0, +/- -2, S 4, PIM 4, TOI 17:52

Turris after 17 games: G 5, A 10, P 15, +/- +9, S 76, PIM 20, average TOI 19:41.

Highlights: http://www.iltalehti.fi/iltvsmliiga/...97790_v8.shtml

Jesse Winchester played also for TuTo Hockey. Trivia: TuTo means "Turun toverit" in Finnish which translates "Turku Comrades." The club was founded in 1929. And yes, it was quite red...

NOV 28, 2012: SPORT @ TUTO 4 - 3
G 1, A 1, P 2, +/- +1, S 4, PIM 2, TOI 21:54

In six games, Jesse's stats:
G 3, A 4, P 7, +/- +5, S 26, PIM 18

Highlights later if they surface from somewhere.

Both Karlsson's and Turris's teams won tonight.

Karlsson:

NOV 29, 2012: TAPPARA @ JOKERIT 2 - 3 OT
G 0, A 1, P 1, +/- +0, S 5, PIM 0, TOI 27:33

Karlsson after 22 games: G 5, A 14, P 19, +/- +12, S 162, PIM 12, average TOI 26:05.

Erik rang the iron twice in the game so he was quite close with a goal. It was a great game from Erik once again and from Jokerit. They had a PP goal a minute before the end of the third period to tie the game and had the GWG three seconds before the end of overtime. Karlsson was splendid especially when Ville Nieminen (ex-Avalanche 2001 Stanley Cup winner) got a breakaway, Erik skated faster than Ville and managed to take the puck away so that Nieminen charged Jokerit's goalie and Nieminen of Tappara got a 2 minute penalty from charging. I hope this gets into the highlights, shows how good Erik can be defensively.

Turris today:

NOV 29, 2012: KÄRPÄT @ LUKKO 4 - 2
G 0, A 0, P 0, +/- +0, S 1, PIM 0, TOI 19:10

Turris after 18 games: G 5, A 10, P 15, +/- +9, S 77, PIM 20, average TOI 19:39.

Highlights here when I get my hands on them.

Nice one-tee. Never really noticed until now, but that may be the first slap-shot I remember seeing Turris take, he always goes for the hard snapper.

Something I've noticed from Turris is his ability to look like he is absolutely loving what he's doing and he gets way more creative showing different abilities to score; when he scores he acts so baws like it was nothing and wants more. This guy is getting me more excited than any prospect not named Lehner.
