The sale was up for about 2h before they managed to take it down. I'm going to assume it's a mistake because that's easily 60-80$ off the standard price. I managed to pick up 2 and I don't even need any additional storage just because I'd be crazy not to. Came out to 33$ for 2 1TB externals.

Anyone have any recommendations (Canada) for a DSLR? I do a lot of concert photography, but it's mostly a hobby not a job, so I don't want to be spending $1500 on a camera body.

Right now, I'm looking at this;

Haha yeah, I don't need the storage either but I would have definitely grabbed a couple.

Looks good. Typically with Canon or Nikon you can't go wrong, it's just a matter of which lens' you like.

Best bang-for-buck 40-50 inch TV deal?

I'm looking for a good Boxing Day TV deal in Canada. I'm not after top of the line, but best bang-for-the-buck for a 40-50 inch TV.

Currently I think the best one out there is this:
Samsung 46" 1080p LCD TV - $449

Any other suggestions?

EDIT - I should also clarify. I'm looking for in-store in BC, or online in either Canada or the US.

Says $599.99 for me.

Can anyone help, looking for a new TV. 40 inches or more please.

Looking for under $600 and I'm willing to look in Seattle/Lower Mainland of B.C. Also, I would like it to be at least 120hz.

Yeah sorry, that's the product page, but it's listed as $449 in their Boxing Day web-only flyer.

Ah, thanks! Might have to consider it, but my friend told me that 120+ hz is a must. He said something about 60hz making the image blurry? Does anyone know if that is true?

All LCD's have fast motion issues. 60Hz is half of 120, so much worse. I wouldn't by an LCD, but when I was considering it I was only looking at 240Hz. LCD's especially need to be seen in person IMO. It's a judgement call. 120Hz is really the lowest I think someone should consider.

What are the better non-apple tablets out there at the moment? All I really hear of from the tablet world are the google nexus devices and ipads.

Higher the better, lower refresh rate gives you more motion blur. So if you're big into watching sports, action movies, playing video games, etc you might wanna look into higher refresh rates. I've seen pictures depicting the difference between 60/120hz rates with respect to motion blue. But I think it's greatly exaggerated.

I've also heard that lcds are better intended for darker rooms.

I may be a little biased, but after returning my transformer prime to Amazon 6 months after purchase date, I went ahead and got the infinity and I couldn't be happier. a full 1080p screen that's gorgeous, and Asus' build quality is outstanding. most review sites rate it the best android tablet out right now.

Are you willing to go to the states? I might go to Seattle instead. Some great TVs for cheaper than Canada.

If not, what price range are you looking for in Canada?

USA Walmart Panasonic Smart Viera 42" Class LED 1080p 60Hz HDTV, (1.6" ultra-slim )TC-L42E5 - $449 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Panasonic-...L42E5/21014016

42" Sharp LCD 1080p HDTV < $399 (It's $399, but it's actually on sale so it's cheaper. Go to the outlet and find out, again USA) - http://www.samsclub.com/sams/42-shar...navAction=push

42” Sony LED 1080p 60Hz HDTV $499 (USA) - http://www.samsclub.com/sams/42-60hz...navAction=push

Element Electronics 40" Class 1080p 60Hz LCD TV - Black $279.99 (Target) - http://www.target.com/p/element-elec...lot=medium_1_1

Panasonic 42" Class Plasma 720p 600Hz HDTV, TC- P42X5 $398 - (Walmart in USA)

I personally prefer samsung but being a student it would be hard to go to the states haha

Sony PS3 TV is on sale for 99 dollars on boxing day. I am seriously tempted to get that.
