If Cape Breton were to trade Carrier where would he go? Could he go to BLB for Matthew Cusson,Julien Bahl,1st rnd pick 2013(SNB) and a 3rd rnd pick 2014.
I would probably do that move except there's no chance Bahl would accept to play for the Cape (Bouchard had to convince him to play for BLB)
I agree with that. Not only will he be back next season , he is out scoring Huberdeau as well. They have about the same kind of supporting cast too .
As good as Huberdeau is, I would also take Carrier before him.
Also, I think that a player like Carrier his less likely to break the chemistry of the team.
You know, sometimes when you add a player with a profile à la Huberdeau, it can makes unhappy player.
I'm not saying he insn't a team guy or anything, but history has learned us that when team add player with a high profile, they aren't always succesfull as what we'd have tought.
The only thing that makes Carrier more valuable right now is he'd be in the league another year and the team would have the option of moving him again next year and get most if not all the assets they gave up to get him in the first place.
Personally I think he'll stay in Cape Breton and be dealt next season.
The best 2 trade pieces right now are Huberdeau and Danault and I'm not even convinced Danault will be dealt ... He's a very valuable player to the Tigres and while they may not be buyers they also may not be sellers. Victoriaville might be 12th right now but only 3 points out of 7th could be one of those dark horse teams come playoff time.
I think there is a better chance of team ahead of them selling like Drummondville, Chicoutimi, and I think Rimouski will tinker a bit but next year they will make their big push IMO

P. Danault- BaC, BLB, HAL, MON, QUE, ROU, VAL

Obviously, most likely not even half of these guys will go, and they could go to a completely different team as well. Just some things to ponder about. I have also looked at the rosters, and seen some possible assets who could be available in a trade for one of the above mentioned, however we have no idea if said player will report. And assuming that the teams above are, in fact, selling.
Some could be futures and whatnot but, most of these teams have solid assets, and a few blockbusters could get done. Going to be an exciting trade period for sure.

No they don't. Tesink is a complimentary top 6 forward (2nd or 3rd liner on a good team), but MacAulay is a checking line forward with a good shot. Farrell and Lavoie are actually able to be top 6 forwards.

So you're saying Farrell is a first line player but Tesink isnt.. Have you watched them play??
Tesink is better than Farrell, sorry to bust your bubble.
Would Moncton ever be interested in Victor Provencer from the Rocket? I still have no clue if the Rocket are even selling, I really think they should but maybe Savard will feel the pressure to add a lil

In all honesty he`d be a Flynn type guy but we have no room. If he was super cheap he`d could play on our fourth. We need a second line winger, other that that we`re full. Veilleux and the twins on the first. Tremaine,Lalonde and Penny have awesome chemistry that I wouldn``t change on the third line that`s used against top lines to shut down. We would have Johnston,Deruelle and Haas/Johnson on our 4th.

Lavoie is a more offensive player than Tesink ... It's just silly to think Carrier is better this year lol. If you had a chance to watch Carrier vs Huberdeau Saturday you'd see it's very clear who would help a contending team more.
Regardless I highly doubt Carrier is dealt and as I said before the ONLY factor that makes him value wise up there with the likes of Huberdeau and Danault potentially is the fact he'd have another year of Junior in him.

Farrell is not a top 6 player on a good team. MacAuley has more points than him this year... Lavoie is a great player though.

What does any of this have to do with my comment ? If you want to discuss my comment , explain to me how Farrell is a better player than Tesink... I never said Carrier was a better player this year, the argument was he has equal or more value considering he'll be back next season..
Tesink > Farrell, obviously.....one's been identified by at least one NHL team as a pro-prospect.
But I like Farrell, he was a good pick for us for 3rd round value. His production this year isn't over-his-head.....2 time NSMAAA scoring champ after all. A better comparable would be Matthew Boudreau.

Why do I have to talk about Farrell lol ... The point was Huberdeau having less points doesn't make Carrier more valuable just the fact he has an extra year is the only thing that makes Carrier at the same level as a Huberdeau or even Danault in terms of trade.
The point is moot because we're talking about a guy that is likely NOT going to be dealt anyway ... If that's the case we could include a laundry list of 18 year olds that could be dealt which would diminish the value of just about everyone.
If you want to consider a statistic consider MacAulay has gone from .58 PPG to 1.14 PPG and that is largely because of Huberdeau ... I'd place a bet Farrell would have over a PPG playing on a line with Huberdeau to be honest. If you want me to compare Tesink to Farrell I would give a slight edge offensively to Tesink but Lavoie is better offensively then both Tesink and MacAulay. When comparing though Tesink brings much more than just offense he's a spark plug and an agitator and he does both very well ... he also has very good wheels which Farrell has as well
