I know they're trying to organize a LOT of on going support for Sandy related problems. This is probably for that.

Long ways out, but I've heard there will be at least one Bon Jovi show at The Rock next Fall.

Was curious to see if the majority of season ticket holders opted for the credit to their account or the cash refund for the cancelled games. I personally would ask for the cash refund. Would love to see the STH's demand their money back instead of taking a credit to their account. Put a little pressure on the owners and hit them where it hurts.

Vanderbeek wants the lockout to end.

Season ticket holders of the Bruins, Leafs, Rangers, Flyers are the ones that need to pressure their respective owners.

I was under the impression you could only do it by the end of October if you wanted a full refund, and back then I figured they'd still have a season.

If they cancel the whole season, then I'm sure there will be people calling wanting refunds and on principle I'll be one of them.

Did you guys get a holiday gift from Devils during the last lockout? I wasn't expecting anything just wondering is all.

STH complete refund

I signed up for 2 club seats for the current year at quite an expensive price (these are 2 extra seats in addition to my existing 2 seats). If they go to something like a 48 game schedule then all the games will be so compressed with many back to back games and just such a large concentration in a short period of time. I will not be able to go to many games and it will be harder to find my clients to take the tickets also. I signed up for an 82 game season and not a 48 game one. Does anyone think the Devils will refund my entire season tickets if I ask? It seems wrong that I should be forced to accept something that I did not pay for.

Would it though?

I dont think it would be that drastic. If they lose Oct, Nov, and Dec, but still have Jan, Feb, Mar, and a sliver of April, it's just slightly less than 1/2 the year lost in terms of timeframe, and 1/2 year is 41 games versus this 48.

So unless I'm conceptualizing this wrong, it's probably only a difference of about 3 more home games played than normally would be in that 3+ month time period.

Plus with the way the Devils 'original' schedule worked out they had a s***load of home games from the end of January to mid-April anyway.

I'm really in no mood to watch 24 home games. Just call this thing and credit account for next year.

Pub Crawl, December 21, 7pm to 10pm

Has anyone heard about the Hockey Fans Pub Crawl near The Rock in Newark on Friday December 21?

I received unofficial word that the bars around The Rock will be participating with food and drink specials.

Louis CK @ NJPAC in January

Comedian Louis CK will be performing two shows in January (24 & 25).

Tickets are already scarce, but here is the link to buy them, $45 a pop.
https://buy.louisck.net/tour-dates

NJPAC is about 5 blocks north up Mulberry St from The Rock.
They have their own parking lots and also a Newark Light Rail stop accessible from both Newark Penn and the Broad St station.

Floor seats released for Jeff Dunham

FYI, floor seats were just released this morning for the Jeff Dunham show tomorrow evening at The Rock, 5pm.

They have not been available for the last few months.
All seats are $50 (with fees if bought on TM, no extra fees if bough at the box office).
I hear he puts on a hysterical show.

If for whatever reason the team wanted to hire me, I would gladly be your ticket rep. Just saying

And I could spend all day on here and not be slacking on work! It would be a win-win for everyone. Someone make that happen.

News-12 NJ did a segment of an interview with a manager of Dinosaur BBQ that was aired just after 6pm.

What did he/she say? They must be happy but Dino BBQ does one hell of a local and lunch business so they were probably least affected

On the Devils side, can't wait to hear from the team and get my tickets!! Hopefully Eric (or Josh, the head of the Fan Exp. Team) will come back on and help field questions.. That was so awesome and helpful last season, although I'd understand it if they're dropping that since it must have been a huge headache for Eric
