And, apparently, close enough for his agent, Terry Bross, to post a photo of the sweaters hanging in the Flyers' locker room at Skate Zone on Instagram with the caption, “So glad this didn’t happen. Doan was as close to becoming a Flyer as he was a Canuck, Sabre, or King. He entertained the thought, but he had no real intention on leaving the Coyotes

Meh....I'm more bothered by how close we came to having Weber. I wonder how really close Doan was to signing though. Not sure the jersey is all that much proof of an imminent signing...

The jerseys themselves aren't proof of anything we didn't already know, but the fact that Doan's agent singled out the Flyers after the signing (when he had no longer had anything to gain by doing so) seems significant.
