Of active past Flyers, who would you love to still have on the team?

As stated, of active players that wore a Flyers uniform in the past, who would you still love to have on the team? Everyone is fair game, as far as I'm concerned, as long as they dressed as a Flyer at least once. I guess you can include prospects, as well, since people are going to list them anyway.

For me it's Thoresen, Sbisa, Tolpeko, D. Markov, Zherdev, Carter (although I was in favour of the trade) and Sharp. I'm more or less indifferent to all others.

Although I didn't take his exit quite as personally as other fans, there's no reason IMO Simon Gagne shouldn't have been a Flyer for life.

Also; Sharp, Kapanen and Danny Markov are both kind of active

Simon Gagne for sure.
Before this past offseason I would've said Ruslan Fedotenko, but we signed him! Wish we had a season now...

Richards, Sharp, Gagne, Seidenberg, Upshall, Umberger, Sbisa, Emery (over MFL), Powe and strangely enough I'd also echo Tolpeko

I'd want Richards back, but not as captain. His biggest issue IMO was that he was just a quiet guy that couldn't fit in with the media focus put on him. In a lesser hockey market, he could be a good captain, but not in a sports crazed market like Philly.

That being said, putting him back on the Flyers roster would be great for leadership and overall excellent hockey on ice.

Going way off the board here and saying Denis Tolpeko. He was a workhorse.

I'm all for the Tolpeko name floating around.... But he did only play 26 games for the Flyers.

Thoresen is another name that will go down in Orange and Black history... I mean he took one to the bag, and thats something that binds you to the team and fans forever!

Obviously Richards and Gagne. I'm perfectly fine with Carle and Carter.

Don't know why, but i was a big fedoruk (Sp?) fan when he played for us

Jon Sim-Mike York-Brian Savage
Jesse Boulerice-Nikolay Zheredev-Stefan Ruzicka

Randy Jones-Ole Kristian Tollefsen
Mike Rathje-Jaroslav Modry

Michael Leighton(2011;Game 6 vs. Buffalo form)

With the impending closure of the full season, we have a future candidate in Jody Shelley!

Gagne,Sharp and Richards. not necessarily in that order.

there is Rod Brind'Amour as well even tho he is retired. That guy should of been a Flyer for life. Took me a long time to forgive Clarke for that trade.

Screw Leighton, let's just go the whole 9 yards and plop Martin Houle in net. His 2 mins of playing time, .667% and 27 GAA are something to behold.

On a serious note, Richards. I'd say Gagne but he seems to be done.
