It's a shame he was never inducted into the HoF due to baseball politics. He changed the game.

There was no question at all that Miller was a HoF worthy contributor to the game.

Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal
Told #Mets' offer of extension to Wright yesterday was 6 yrs./$100M. Source today says team offering 7 yrs. between $125M and $150M.

Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal
If #Mets are indeed offering Wright such a deal, it seems unlikely he would reject it unless he wanted to be a free agent at end of season.

Read Bud Selig's statement on Marvin Miller very carefully. Condolences, yes. But nothing saying he did anything good for the game.

It's not just a shame that Miller isn't in the Hall of Fame, it's a full on disgrace. Undoubtedly one of the five most important people in baseball history kept out by spite.

Damn what an ignorant post. You might want to research what the difference between steroids and Adderall is. He probably didn't even know it was forbidden in baseball because I'm sure he could have gotten a prescription from a doctor if he wanted it. My dumb ass college friends can convince a doctor they have ADHD.

Edit: The article says if he just got the prescription approved with a MLB clinician it would have been fine.

I wonder if Ruiz will be able to have the prescription approved ex post facto and the suspension erased.

Heard Wright contract was upwards of 140m, he turned it down. Agent said they have no intentions of signing anytime soon. Also said Wright was not happy Mets went public. Per WFAN.

As a Met fan, I hope we end up trading him. Get whatever we can for him and go from there. I want to see him have a chance to play in postseason again, he deserves it.

If that's true (not seeing it anywhere online), the Mets should just pull the plug and trade Dickey too and go into total rebuilding mode.

Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal
Broxton deal with #Reds is three years, $21M. Also a club option for 2016. Salaries of $4M-$7M-$9M, with $1M buyout on $9M option.

I don't see them getting in right away.

Most of the voters are self-entitled and overrate the effects of steroids. And think they're "doing the game justice by not letting these 'cheaters' in."

Ok, my mistake. Wright didn't flat out say no, but there was a snag about deferred money. Either way Wright isn't happy it went public.

Here's the HoF ballot.

http://baseballhall.org/news/museum-...-biggest-honor

#RoyceClaytonForHoF

I'm interested to see how many votes Kenny Lofton gets. I liked him as a player, he's probably not HoF material but I wonder if he gets enough love to stay on the ballot.

Looking over last years ballot. Tim Salmon(5), Bill Mueller(4), Brad Radke(2), Javy Lopez(1), and Eric Young(1) got votes.

Here's who'd I vote for: (voters can vote for as many as 10 players)
Barry Bonds
Roger Clemens
Sammy Sosa
Mike Piazza
Mark McGwire
Curt Schilling
Jeff Bagwell
Craig Biggio
Tim Raines
Fred McGriff

Flame away...

Hall of Fame voter logic: Jeff Bagwell played in an era where a lot of guys took steroids. Therefore, he took steroids. Therefore, he doesn't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame.

In reality, he's a slam-dunk HOFer.
