AND wpg gets umberger who is also a 50-60 pt player very defensive, very tough. AND he gets john moore who was a first rd draft pick and is a very shifty ofd AND a pick. So yes, thats more than overpayment in my eyes.

DONT FORGET BOTH TEAMS MUST CONFIRM TRADES AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN POSTED OR I WILL NOT APPROVE THEM
I think it was Savard rathe than Moore, right? (Though that description still sort of fits).

I don't see anything wrong with the trade. J. Johnson is a very good player in this game, a youngg 1D who is a perfect compliment for either Buff or Bogo on Winnipeg. Umburger replaces Kane's production on the Jets at forward.

CBJ gives up more than enough value to get Kane, who is very good, but also takes a while to improve OV. I think its a bit of an overpayment, really, but not a horrible one.

The key test should be whether the deal leaves a team virtually unappealing to a potential future GM who might take over, right? I don't think anyone can really say that this deal does that for either team--and particularly not CBJ.

I would rather be on Jets end in this trade than CBJ...Kane will be around 84 for 6 seasons at least

I don't disagree, but doesn't that suggest that CBJ gave up more than enough to get the "franchise" player?

(that's really the only issue here, isn't it? If we're going to veto trades that don't seem even, it is going to be difficult to make any moves at all.)

There's absolutely no way that this trade is veto worthy. There's more then enough value.

Besides,

everyone knows that Olli Jokinen is the face of their franchise, it's just one scary face.

He gave up way too much IMO, Jack Johnson will be around 85-86 OVR, Umberger from 84-81, and also the 1st? Doesn't make sense to me

Just so the new GM of the Sens is aware, I put in a couple of offers on free agents, namely Gilbert Brule and Cam Barker because I felt they fit the team's needs. Hopefully if they sign you are okay with what I offered! (twas nothing outlandish)

I thought it was a 2nd and Savard?

Still, that's his perogative. He's not wrecking the team by any stretch. He's got a legit goal-scorer and a young core piece.

Commissioner already said its fine, so I think we're here.

If it is anything like trades, those offers might be pulled when a GM leaves, right?

Pending trades are voided if a GM departs. I'd think FA works the same way.

Free Agent offers aren't looked at/processed by the GM Connected system until during the "Schedule Advance" anyway. Wouldn't be surprised if what Jack said was right.

Voracek Giroux Briere
Hartnell Schenn Simmonds
Couturier Talbot Read
Fedotenko Rinaldo
Pronger Coburn
Timonen Meszaros
Grossman Kubina
Breezer

Not really looking for anything in particular right now, would move a veteran D man (Timonen or Kubina) for young players or prospects.

If, by some accident, CJB accidentally included the wrong player in the deal (I've done this before), then I'd suggest that the two teams get one "extra" trade to fix it for the next block. In other words, a straight Savard for Moore swap.

No one has confirmed that it was a mistake. I don't think there's any way to know until the advance.

But if there is, it should be fixable, that's all.

Seems likely. When I've screwed up in the past, its with two players who hold the same "value" on the bar. When you cycle back and forth, EA shuffles the names--so sometimes one guy is higher than the other. If you're going through a few versions of a deal, or back and forth, its easy to select the wrong guy. Moore holds more value than Savard in the game, so you're probably fine.

I am now looking for a young top 6 Winger with good potential, and i'm still looking for a top 3 winger. I will likely use only one trade to satisfy one of those needs so PM me if your interested in Richards, Brown, Williams or Bernier.

are looking to move Lupul & Connolly for a RW with some speed and size. Lupul is a very capable 1st/2nd line LW and Connolly is a quick 2nd/3rd line C with good hands.

are looking for a top-6 scorer (SNP), preferably at RW.

Picks, (roster) players, and prospects available. If you're looking to move an 82-84 SNP, I'm probably your guy.

Packaging

Vokoun + D Prospect
for
Top 6 Winger - Preferably RW / Sniper

Make me an offer.

Notes: I do NOT need a net minder coming back the other way, but if you need to unload one, I'll take them, but it would be an add in, not effecting the value of the other pieces in the trade.
