He's in Dynamo Moscow next to Ovechkin, and certainly a star there, especially for someone as tall as Madonna. I was amazed when I watched him play live here in Bratislava.

No need to pretend these things happens only in Soviet Russia.

Sorry to bring up football again into discussion, but in December 2004, halfway through the season, Sparta Praha fired their coach Straka, while being top of league, with comfortable 9 pts lead in hand. Reason was that Sparta failed to make it out of CL´s Group Stage.

At the end of season (some 15 game days later), Sparta not only blew their 9 pts lead, but even gained another 5 pts loss on the champ from Ostrava. At the same time, they managed to qualify into CL´s group stage single one time since then.

Jupp Heynckes was fired as Real Madrid head coach immediately after winning the Champions League in 1998 because the team played not nice enough lol.

And of course, Roberto di Matteo fired six months after winning the FA Cup and Champions League, due to his team being in 3rd place four points behind the league leaders.

Chelsea also sacked their most succesfull coach ever, Jose Mourinho, after winning 6 titles in 3 years, being undefeated in all home games etc. Because of poor start (3-4 games) to the season.

But that hardly beats Heynckes

Crazy days in the KHL... First-place team fires coach, last-place team visits former (until yesterday) long-time Western Conference leader and destroys them 5-2 in their own building. However did that happen? Did both Ovechin and Bäckström take a power-nap?

Russian teams evidently helping each other to push other teams out of the playoff spots

Sorry, I had to.

Atlant played really well in the 2nd and 3rd periods here in Bratislava and Slovan was lucky to escape with all 3 points. Still, this is very surprising.

Atlant played well organised hockey, surprised too see them that low. Mikhnov is class.

That sort of mentality may come from the fact that your used to seeing this kind of bush league behaviour in the Czech league

In a normal competitive league it is not uncommon to see lower standing teams be able to beat league leaders. If that sounds like a conspiracy to you I don't know what that makes the NHL

Guys, please stop bickering about the whole coaching thing. The guy is gone now obviously they didn't like him. Reading about soccer in a hockey forum is making me sick, this is a forum where we talk about real sports

Actually that is not so rare in ice hockey that a team of the lower parts of the table beats a top team. It is important how you go into a game. I mean if you have a 15 game losing streak for example although you played well during half of the games, it is easier to surprise a big one as nobody expects something from you. At home against Vityaz the pressure to win is off course higher than away against Dynamo Moscow.

The guy at the start looks like an idiot. I don't like the name. What's so difficult about finding a russian name? Why "SKA Sisters"? And is it so difficult to find more good looking girls in St.Petersburg? There are plenty. Overall a C+. Haven't seen much from the girls in the video. The break dancers are good.

Kovalchuk dancing is by far the best part. Not sure if that was their intent, but I certainly hope so.
