Yup, I gotta check the rules but I am thinking it's something like 300 pro games to qualify. And the good news is that the NHL is locked out, therefore he was forced to sign a new contract with St. John's (well he wasn't forced, but he chose to), so I think it is extremely unlikely the Jets are pissing away 500K on his poor play at even the AHL level. Probably making something more in line with what he should be paid, like 125K.
Gagnon had 285 AHL games and 28 NHL games at the start of the year. So he at least falls under the 260-320 category. Of note Spencer Machacek falls under that category as well, so he is taking that one spot in reality every game, making Gagnon one of the "true" veterans.
I knew they had a glut of vets, didn't really look at who. Forgot about Gags and Mach.
Two very nice shots late in the period by him - just couldn't find the far corner on one, and bad angle on the other. The goals HAVE to come - he's shooting well.
Beauty setup by Burmi on the PP to Postma for a 2-1 lead. Burmi got everyone moving around in front of the net as he took it to the point out of the corner, and fed Postma for a one timer.
EDIT: well, that was fast! 3-1 on a goal by Klingberg, from Machacek and Meech.
EDIT2: and ANOTHER one! 4-1! 2 goals in about 30s.
EDIT3: under review, it was called off. Still 3-1. Crazy.
EDIT4: ...and now Klingberg is sent off for goaltender interference.

"Everything's happening!"
Offense finally starting to come around. It seems just as we as a board begin to turn on a player for lack of offense he comes around (ie Wheeler, Ladd, Kane last year)
