Once both teams confirm the trade for CBJ & WPG ill confirm. Being a BJ fan myself JJ is absolutely the franchise player there. Hes a potential 50-60 pt Dman, captain of team america and hes only 25yrs old at a 84 overall at D. Not to mention his skating is superb in the game. AND wpg gets umberger who is also a 50-60 pt player very defensive, very tough. AND he gets john moore who was a first rd draft pick and is a very shifty ofd AND a pick. So yes, thats more than overpayment in my eyes.

I don't see anything wrong with the trade. J. Johnson is a very good player in this game, a youngg 1D who is a perfect compliment for either Buff or Bogo on Winnipeg. Umburger replaces Kane's production on the Jets at forward.
CBJ gives up more than enough value to get Kane, who is very good, but also takes a while to improve OV. I think its a bit of an overpayment, really, but not a horrible one.
The key test should be whether the deal leaves a team virtually unappealing to a potential future GM who might take over, right? I don't think anyone can really say that this deal does that for either team--and particularly not CBJ.
I would rather be on Jets end in this trade than CBJ...Kane will be around 84 for 6 seasons at least
I don't disagree, but doesn't that suggest that CBJ gave up more than enough to get the "franchise" player?
(that's really the only issue here, isn't it? If we're going to veto trades that don't seem even, it is going to be difficult to make any moves at all.)

If it is anything like trades, those offers might be pulled when a GM leaves, right?
Pending trades are voided if a GM departs. I'd think FA works the same way.
Free Agent offers aren't looked at/processed by the GM Connected system until during the "Schedule Advance" anyway. Wouldn't be surprised if what Jack said was right.
And im not sure who was on the cbj/wpg deal i already approved it in game.
If, by some accident, CJB accidentally included the wrong player in the deal (I've done this before), then I'd suggest that the two teams get one "extra" trade to fix it for the next block. In other words, a straight Savard for Moore swap.

No one has confirmed that it was a mistake. I don't think there's any way to know until the advance.
But if there is, it should be fixable, that's all.

Seems likely. When I've screwed up in the past, its with two players who hold the same "value" on the bar. When you cycle back and forth, EA shuffles the names--so sometimes one guy is higher than the other. If you're going through a few versions of a deal, or back and forth, its easy to select the wrong guy. Moore holds more value than Savard in the game, so you're probably fine.
