FORBES: Bruins worth 348 M

http://www.forbes.com/teams/boston-bruins/

Bruins are ranked #5 in worth just behind Chicago

Toronto, Montreal and the Rangers are in another galaxy.

I wonder how this takes into account arenas.

I know those 3 own the team and arena as one entity but Chicago and Boston own their arenas under different business.

I would imagine if the Bruins package of the TD Garden, Bruins, and 20% of NESN would fetch far more than $348 mil.

Right now the Bruins are worth 0, just like my current interest in the CBA talks, Bettman, Fehr, the NHL, NHL tweets, NHL on TSN ect.

Does anyone truly care anymore, it is a non ending saga of filth and garbage spewn by both sides with no realistic end in sight.

Except Uncle Sam will take half, leaving you about $100m shy.

Good news... the Jackpot is now up to $550 milllion!

Game on!

Don't worry, when I buy the Bruins, all HF posters will get free seat upgrades.

Nice timing for the article Forbes...clearly on the players side and wants to point out how rich those owners are and how they should pay up

Pretty sure the value of MLSE grew tons with the Argonauts winning the grey Cup BB, the valuation is skewed clearly

Oops, Argo`s not owned by MLSE, must be all the titles the Jays/Raptors/TFC and Leafs continue to pile up

I thought i heard back before the last lockout to buy the garden and the bruins would be closer to a billion dollars. And I don't think you could buy the bruins and not by the garden. This is why no one has really jumped into buying the bruins I believe.

It sucks not knowing precisely how much revenue each NHL team pulls in. Pretending that Forbes does, when the numbers we can check don’t check out, doesn’t fix that.

Shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, but, on the same site:

Red Sox are worth 1B.
Celtics are worth 484M.
Patriots worth 1.635B.

Worth 348 million yet the driving force for this lockout. Got to love it.

Please, we can say what we will about Jacobs, but he isn`t an owner who does things such as this

http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl...1483--nhl.html

Ludicrous signings have long been a massive problem, not one Bruin, IMO, has received or been offered assinine contracts like these two have

You sound hurt because of the lockout. I for one gave up hope when there was no pre-season.

If contracts weren't allowed past the CBA agreements there would not be this song and dance we have today.

The 2 sides have not shown any urgency to get proposals on the table prior to the expiration of the CBA. So the writing was on the wall a long time ago.
