Call me crazy, but I truly believe we have a soon to be 70pt player on our hands..

You aren't crazy...

JVR can easily score 30 plus but he needs to stay healthy. There is a reason we got him,risk/reward.The lockout benefits JVR more than most as he has time to get healthy and may only play 50 games.

I know a hardcore Philly fan who thinks JVR is capable of more than 30 but I won't go there.

IF JVR plays 90 percent of the games,we win this trade.

Yep, JVR went 2nd overrall for a reason. He's ready to break out, it's going to be fun to watch.

He's one of the biggest reasons that I'm so frustrated to be missing this season.

I take it then he's not playing anywhere during the Lockout? Would he be eligible for the Marlies?

He's wayyyyy past the two-way threshold, so no.

If he hasn't capped out, which considering his age, games played and pre-draft "potential" could be true.

He could really flourish here.

I'm excited for what JVR can add to our second-line long term. A big, skilled forward with 60 point potential. I can see him meshing well with guys like Kadri and Frattin down the line; as well as Grabovski and Kulemin next season.

Agreed, the lock-out will benefit JVR quite a lot. He should be 100% ready to go if the season starts next season.

word. will give burke more time to get him better line mates for that 2nd line. im afraid if he played this season, alot of people would write him off early. especially if the team bombs hard. I am not comfortable with our 2nd and 3rd lines. I believe they need an overhaul. We have had 3 and 4th line players and aging and bottoming out players taking up our top lines space for too long. its time to get to work here.

JVR has much more than 60 point potential. I'd say he's a lock for 60 points (he's already a damn good player) but the sky is the limit for JVR. He has the ability to absolutely control games.

I'm so stoked to have him on our team.

I'll stick with the 50 pt winger, but I think he could drop with a bad year, but he could also move up to 60 points if he keeps moving forwards. But I don't see him ever passing 70 pts.

I do. He's got all of the tools to be an amazing player. I think, in his prime, he averages ~70 pts.

He's got a ways to go, for sure, but man, I'm so glad we got him. JVR is the first player I always used to trade for in NHL
