That thread seems to really be something to behold, while some parts are valid criticisms it's still a veritable witch hunt. The shoot first (with a good number of ranting posts), ask questions later mentality is just ridiculous. Not saying that such a mentality isn't ever present on other forums.


Rich is out for one game due to personal reasons:

Turns out that his child had some medical situation:

Turns out that he was unable to come because of a rescheduled team function:

TBH after these latest outbursts I'm not sure those guys deserve a Peverley that's giving 100%. I mean it's okay to criticize the way he's playing, but looking at recent posts, ones that attack his character are probably more common than ones that criticize his play. I find that tasteless.

Personally I'm just glad I've gotten to see one of the '11 guys live a bunch of times, no better consolation for no Bruins games to watch.

He is already more of a goal scorer anyway.

League average is in the neighborhood of 1.6 Assists to Goals.

I don't expect a ratio of .63 like he has done overseas but make no mistake he is a goal scorer first.

1 goal per game is far too utopian in today's NHL.

Your numbers obviously don't lie, but even those do not express he accumulated more goals than assists. Maybe he would become that kind of player if he stayed on the wing, but I don't see that happen. I rather see him as a pass-first kinda guy which will fit into his role as center in a few years.

Seguin's a sniper, imo. His playmaking will become much better at the nhl level, but i no longer listen to 3-year-old scouting reports on him. His speed to the outside & sniping have translated to profession hockey way faster than his playmaking. Everybody who cries about needing a sniper i laugh at because we have one. Don't care what his "natural" position is. Keep him with bergy & march on the wing as long as possible.

I actually thought about Kane being St. Louis to Seguin's Stamkos on the PP in Biel. It's not like one can't be more of a goal scorer playing center in the NHL. And certainly Seguin was that in his second OHL season.
