I can without a doubt say that he manage that. At this moment he is on 3rd place on scorers list although he played 6 games less than other top scorers and he is without a doubt the best player in the league at the moment.

You'll for sure get back totally different player once lock-out will end as he was before lock-out. And I believe he'll be able to contribute much more to your team.
Thanks.
I wish the last line were true. But I don't know if he'll get the chance to contribute.

There are only 12 spots in the lineup for forwards. I see Mursak as #14 in the Red Wings eyes. Mursak's fate was esstentially sealed with the Wings went out and signed three right-handed shooting forwards in the offseason: Brunner, Tootoo and Samuelsson.
1. Datsyuk
2. Zetterberg
3. FIlppula
4. Franzen
5. Brunner
6. Nyquist
7. Bertuzzi
8. Cleary
9. Helm
10. Sammuelsson
11. Tootoo
12. Abdelkader
13. Miller
14. Mursak
15. Emmerton
16. Tatar
17. Eaves
18. Andersson

The good news is that Emmerton has almost fully recovered from his broken finger. Wings dodged a giant bullet in having to play without Emmerton. Fortunately the NHL/NHLPA have all drafted Flippula for their fantasy team's so they will keep delaying the start of the season until he recover's.

I was going to start a thread to ask this question, but hopefully someone can just answer it here...

What happens with these guys that signed 1 year deals over the summer (i.e. Brunner, Semin, Rozival etc.)?

I have zero confidence that there will be hockey this season, so are all of them UFAs going into next season?

People seem to be slotting Brunner into our lineups already, but assuming this season is lost, won't he just be a UFA when the next CBA is worked out? It's not like I'm scared they'll lose him, but there's got to be more interest in him from other clubs these days.

Last time, the year was burned off contracts.
But it is something they'll have to agree on.

Brunner with 18G 23A in 24 games... That's ok.

Zetterberg 11G 11A in 14 games, not too bad either.

Nice to see they're still tearing it up, thanks for the update.

Wathed a lot of playoff highlights from the last few years and I remembered how much I miss hockey, especially the Wings.

They should be tearing it up since it's a very poor league. Not Austrian bad, but lot worse than KHL, SEL etc

A lot more offensive, talent wise right now, the Swiss league does have a lot of firepower.

I'm pretty sure we're all aware of that. It's nice that Brunner got a hat-trick... 3 assists from Z

Just for reference Tyler Seguin has 20g in 20 games. So Brunner is doing just fine.

He is also vastly outproducing a lot of high end NHL talent in the swiss league, ya it is a different style then the NHL but it should be easier for them to produce offensively as well, you would think Thornton and Nash would be tearing it up together but they have been relatively quiet.

Edit* you never seem to have anything positive to say which i find quite annoying, you may think you're better then overly optimistic people but you aren't.

I don't put much faith in euro league stats. Level of competition is so uneven.

Thanks. With established guys I don't pay much attention to their stats because we have a good idea what they can do in the NHL. I'm sure they are not going all out like it's the NHL playoffs. With prospects I do like it when they produce because it gives us hope they can produce in the NHL. No guarantees of course but any uptick in offensive production at least gives you reason to believe they are continuing to develop and improve their game.

Yes but you can only do so much. Given the situation, Brunner is playing to satisfaction for the DRW organization. Once this cursed lockout has ended we'll see how he fair in the NHL.

I don't think NLA is that much worse than Elitserien. It's not as good, but definitely not "a lot worse". And as mentioned, about 20 NHLers there right now.

I don't think so either. However, stats compared between the two should be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. The leagues differ about 1,5 goals per game. Elitserien is well under 5 goals per game, NLA is above 6 goals per game..

Thanks for posting this! The best thing about Brunner is he knows where to go to score goals. One was on a rebound when he was in front of the net and another was on what looked like a power play where he got in perfect position for the snipe. I'm not sure how he'll transition to NA but he tends to go to the right places and seems to have a decent shot.

Brunner's on pace for 85 points (with the highest ppg atm, 1.70), which would tower the old record for a season by 13. Zetterberg has 1.57ppg.

I just realized that and wanted to get him on NHL13. Now im sitting here and cant stop laughing at his 61 overall.

drew miller got a hat trick tonight. stats are now 13 8+10 = 18
it is a high scoring league, but they're nice numbers wherever you're playing
