Does Michael Andlauer become owner of the Laval affiliate?
I don't think he would and legally the Habs are bound to the Hamilton deal until then and probably can't say anything publicly that might hurt the team.When news of Erie Otters & Connor McDavid were making a pitch for the Copps Arena,Andlauer said the Bulldogs name & logo would stay in Hamilton.It just seems to be the best fit for the Habs and the BabyHabs if they were to move to Laval,giving people another Pro Team affiliated with their team great IMO.
yes according to a couple tweets from J-F Chaumont, le place Bell as it will be called is set to begin construction in september 2013 to be complete by 2015.
G. Molson is quoted to saying 'one day i will have good news to announce, but it is too early to say today' ..in other words Bulldogs to laval in 2015...
I don't think it necessarily has to be the Bulldogs. Molson & Associates can buy another AHL team and bring it in Laval if necessary.
Edit: Maybe an ECHL team?
If there are bring in an AHL team, it has to be affiliated with the Habs IMO.
I would love it, because that would mean I'd be able to go watch some of the Habs prospect, but at the same team, scheduling would be an issue, like how is attendence going to be on nights when the Habs play at the same time.
I'm looking at it right now on my iPod...allows you to track North American based pros. There's even a special version only available to pros, and those who have it fans can interact with. It's mostly AHLers who are verified of course, but Hagel got some of his teammates on board...so anyone who wants to stalk Beaulieu, Geoffrion or Palushaj, go for it.

Absolutely. Hamilton can easily find a new NHL partner or get a NHL team themselves in a couple of years. The future Laval's team will definitely be the Habs AHL farmclub.

But the weird thing is Bulldogs owner Michael Andlauer is also part owner of the Habs, and has said he doesn't plan on moving the Bulldogs when this project was announced. Maybe he is just saying that not to upset Hamilton fans for the time being.

Andlauer's company is based in Laval. It would be weird that he is not interested in moving his team there. He probably can't speak for legal reason.

Great video, thanks for that. Seems like he was playing with a bit of fire for a change. Hope somebody lit a spark under him and got him going.
Previous games I saw him, in junior as well, he was always on cruise control with that too cool to try style.
If he can keep up that effort level will be fun to watch.
Good post, thanks. I saw the same thing, but always noticed how much better he seemed than his peers. I wonder if he's one of those guys that constantly needs to feel challenged. I played football like that actually. I was almost always on a jacked up team and played bored most of the time. I was a cornerback, and it often took for me to play against a great wide receiver for it to look like I cared. The better, tougher coaches knew how to get the best of me, but the cupcake ones, well... let's just say I found a way to take all the shortcuts with them. Therrien/Lefebvre seem all business, so shouldn't be a problem there.
It could be a mistake and he is recalled by Hamilton, however I don't think he deserves to get recalled.
However, I would speculate that his tenure as a Habs could be over...
Three forwards have been added to Wheeling's roster today :
-Kevin Veilleux and Dominik Uher were assigned by Wilkes-Barres
-Chris Higgins (not the former Habs) was acquired from Utah
With all those new players, maybe there is no more room for Schultz in Wheeling so the Habs are trying to loan him somewhere else (ECHL, CHL, Europe). Maybe the Habs are unhappy with his play and are trying to find a way to get rid of his contract..or I could be wrong and he was just recalled by Hamilton, we'll see....

Hard to believe he went from a NHL call-up last season to a borderline ECHLer. It must be because of his tendency to show in camp out of shape, but his ECHL record is pretty bad.

I was kinda right. Schultz will now play for Utah (he is playing tonight)

@UtahGrizz
Ian Schultz has been assigned to Utah by Montreal. A third-year pro and a veteran of over 100 AHL games, he will be in the lineup as #14.
This what a Wheeling fan had to tweet about Schultz

@Old_Tyme_Hockey
Here's HOPING the Ian Schultz era in Wheeling is OVER. Recalled to #Hamilton ....What a JOKE he was #Lazy #CantFight #GoodRiddance
How many games are we at now of giving up the first goal? 15? 16?
This team is not even worthy of GDTs anymore.
Of course Commodore takes a penalty that leads to that 5 on 3 right after the most useless player ever Stortini set the tone with his own minor, looks like Commo will fit right in with all the other horrific veteran performances this team has received all year (FSD excluded).
Jesus, the Heat are sitting Kolanos as a healthy scratch. Exactly the type of veteran offensive center the Dogs need so badly.
