Baumgartner might not be ready for coaching the D and Id like see a change there.

Sterling is doing his job, but should be played with Schroeder to get a no 1 line IMO.

Something like:
Sterling-Shroeder-Pinizotto
Sweatt-Ebbet-Kassian
Rodin-Mallet-Gordon

Hell I dont know going off Highlights and one game. Maybe Im out to lunch.
I'd rather see

Sterling-Schroeder-Kassian
Rodin- Ebbet- Pinizotto
Sweatt- Mallet- Gordon

Kassian, Schroeder and Tanev have been the best all-around players on the Wolves, followed closely by Sterling. The coaching has been bad and the transition game is lacking so the points don't look spectacular, but Kassian is a much better player than last year.

He's gotten more consistent with his physical play, he's always a threat offensively (but unfortunately he's playing with two veterans who are sucking), and his conditioning seems better than last year. He's by far the best Wolves player at protecting the puck down low and cycling. 3 fights this year and he won all of them.

The last 5 or so games he's really stepped it up in terms of staying consistently involved throughout the game, so I hope he can keep it up like that until whenever the NHL season starts up.

thats good. its good to see fans happy with his play hopefully he can keep er up and when the nhl season starts(if it does) then he hits the ice flying and can take his game to the Nhl....and ohh yea he can fight down here in the OHL it was like watching a men against boys....he can be very intimidating if he wants to and can handle himself against anyone in a fight...how are people viewing the hodgson/Kassian deal as of today starting to like it a bit more i know alot of nucks fans were hating it when it was made.

I liked the Kassian trade from the beginning. We needed a player like him and Hodgson was easily expendable.

we could definitely use another playmaking center. I wouldn't say he's expendable at all, but a power forward is a bigger need.

I understand the whole stance on going to a team that's core is the same age but I thought he was a supposed Canucks fan??? I dont know about you guys but as a Canucks fan your dream should be playing for Vancouver not Edmonton. Especially when you're exactly what Vancouver needed.

I can't wait to see Kassian destroy him in the Van/Edm battles

Yeah, I still can't believe he picked Edmonton over us after hearing his story. Oh well though.

I don't understand how Canucks fans can be bitter about Schultz. Anaheim on the other hand...

It wouldn't be so bad if he hadn't made us sit through the Bachelorette finale only find out Edmonton gets his rose. But you're right, Anaheim gets first dibs on maximum bitterness, they got royally ****ed.

If we had a top 4 spot and he didn't take then we could be bitter, but we didn't.

When you hear he has been a Canucks fan, apparently was getting teased by teammates for cheering for Vancouver you think the kid still has the loyalty or love for this team. When he is going to be a UFA & fits your teams needs like a glove you see a match that could very well happen. Include the fact we were one of the last teams in the Bachelor style discussion then you can see why.

Also just look at every time a BC boy goes to UFA & how we all think/hope they come here.

Its not THAT hard to understand if you think about it. I do agree that Duck fans should be the most bitter & I'm pretty sure they are!

Pretty sure he would be nowhere near 28 in 18 if he was on the Wolves... something's wrong.

He's leading his team in points, two ahead of Eberle.

I really think that the Wolves' biggest problem is their absolute dearth of solid two way defence men. Beyond Tanev, the Canucks do not have a single sure fire pro defensive prospect.

They have a solid goaltender in Lack, and an average forward corps. They simply cannot fall back on any sort of defensive cohesion when the streaky offence runs dry.

It's really too bad Sauve has regressed the way he has. Another defensively solid, mobile two way defence man would have done much to rectify the situation, in my opinion.

He's also playing with three of the best players in the entire AHL.

Ehrhoff effect.

There was a decent post over on the Oilers board that makes a pretty strong case that he's not simply leeching off the star talent. A very large proportion of his points are by either assisting or being assisted by less well known players on the team.

And even if it was the 'Erhoff' effect, he has 28 points in 18 games as a rookie pro. No matter how you slice that, it is incredibly impressive.
