The best twitter account is @DaggumRoy

It's a parody of Roy Williams and it's amazing.

Just waiting for my boss to approve my days off, which shouldn't be an issue.

After he does, I'll then be booking a table for 2, at 9:00PM, at Alinea. Can't. ****ing. Wait.

Stream Bizarre Foods Chicago... they did like a 20 minute piece on it, with the owner and head chef. I have always wanted to go, but after I saw that... I was even more awestruck than I ever could have expected.

He has the best job in the world, without doubt.

Kind of hard to believe, but I was skimming his Wiki page one day... and he was actually homeless at one point in his life, with a drug and alcohol addiction on the streets of NYC. He'd steal purses for the cash, and then sell the purse itself. Almost hard to believe... Then he turned himself into a Michelin Star chef years later, after a bunch of rehab and stuff.

No ****... He seems like such a happy go lucky guy, with a nerdy side. Hard to believe any of that is true, but he's admitted to it.

Well, bummed to find out Graham Elliot's restaurant is fully booked while we are there. I was really looking forward to going there. So far it looks like...

Sunday - Alinea
Monday - think I'm going to look for a Rick Bayless restaurant to go to
Tuesday - Lou's with the family
Wednesday - reservations for at The Girl & The Goat

Definitely will be going to Portillo's and Al's a couple hundred times. Still have Wednesday - Saturday, before the following days of foodgasms begin.

Definitely have to sneak the Goose Island pub by Wrigley in there for a few brews and lunch, or maybe even dinner.

Ray, you're in town?

If so, go to Lucky's. It's by Wrigley.

No, not going up till January 2nd, and staying for a week or so. Suppose to leave the 10th, but Graham Elliot has a reservation open on the 10th, so might have to push my flight back home to the 11th now.

Lucky's is ok, but not my favorite.

35th Street Red Hots by U.S. Cellular Field (puke) is awesome if you're in that area (completely understand if you aren't and completely avoid the vicinity). Gene and Jude's Hot Dogs in River Forest is also delicious if your family is in that area. Also, if you're cruising downtown, stop at Garrett Popcorn. You can smell that tasty ass cheese corn from a half mile away. Good stuff there. I am a huge fan of snack food and "shack" places. Also can't go wrong with Maggiano's.

Haha, thankfully I won't be that close to the Cell. Unfortunately, I will have to make a pit stop to see some family over in Cal City.

Garrett Popcorn the one over by Gino's in the city a street or to north of the Mag Mile? Been to the popcorn place over by Gino's, but not sure the name of it.

They're all over. Could very well be one there.

It's just not exciting. Pretty boring surrounding if it's not gameday. Stadium areas are obviously not as lively when there isn't a game, but the Wrigleyville area trumps that area gameday or not.

I don't think anyone said it's dangerous... to me it's more of an area that doesn't have a lot to offer, to what appeals to me at least. There just isn't much to do there, and it's not like I'll be catching a Sox game. No reason to go out there for food.

You literally seconded my sentiments from the post above this.

It's not scary at all. Also, what right do I have saying that one's sports team doesn't play in a nice area? I'm a Hawks and Bulls fan. You should see some of the characters that come cruising by the practice rink.
