"You know hes the gift that keeps on giving". Ive heard guys gush over players before but Morgan might need a restraining order. Nice to see him get the winner infront of his hometown.

Wow, he was incredible in that highlight package.
It's funny cause he's that explosive almost every night though.

Honestly, I didn't think the video was that impressive... I was expecting something incredible with the way everyone was commenting on it.
I don't see how the kid isn't going to be a star though, his skating is incredible, his vision is incredible, his hands are incredible, he's got the full package, Leaf fans should be excited about this kid. The hype is warranted.

He's got a good wrist shot, slap shot could be more powerful though for sure.

There must have been 3-4 articles on him in the two main Vancouver news papers before that game.

mike greens main strength was his amazing wrist shot and he wasn't as a good a skater as rielly. rielly seems more like a playmaker in the offensive zone than green and he likes to carry the puck in his on end and the neutral zone more. although this is the whl so he probably wont have the time and space in the nhl to do these things

Rielly is currently in on 41.6% of Moosejaw's goals scored this season. Crazy.

Duncan Keith still stands as the best comparison in my opinion, in terms of playing style. He may never reach that level but he is a Keith-like player.

Really?? Explain? I Can't really think of many other players that would be a better comparison.

He's a cerebral player like Karlsson, in vision and passing. He can find his teammates in those open spaces and he has the creativity and hockey IQ like Karlsson where all you need is to play him with a guy that can finish and he can put up a good number of points. But all the physical properties like shooting, skating, dekes and physical play/lack of physical play is different. Different build too.

Brian Leetch. Not to say he'll be as successful, but he plays the same game style.

This. I think he can dangle a bit better, but we'll see. I expect great things from this guy.

Since good ol' Pierre won't be there for his own drinking game, I came up with a drinking game of my own.
Step 1: Take a drink every time Miller or Ferraro gushes over Morgan Rielly.
Step 2: Drunk.

Playing this game and probably listening to No Koi Yokan while I'm doing it.

I wonder if they'll be doing the same for Frankie Corrado.

I'm as envious of Leafs fans for having Rielly as Leafs fans are envious of us Habs fans for having Galchenyuk.
