Scheifele was the best player in in his SSS game.

He doesn't get nearly as much praise as he should on HF, probably due to the mob that wants to think that he shouldn't have been picked over Couturier and Hamilton. When in reality, that chapter is far from being written yet.

Huberdeau and Scheifele didn't click last year, so hopefully it works out a little better this time around.

I'd put RNH and Scheifele on different lines, TBH. Both are more playmakers than goalscorers, and both belong at center, IMO. Plus it gives you alot more depth in your lineup that teams cannot focus on one line as much, IMO.

So something like:

Huberdeau-RNH-Strome

Galchenyuk-Scheifele-?MacKinnon?

Will be interesting to see who fills out the bottom of the roster.

Some stellar players won't make the trip.

I wonder if they would be opposed to pulling one of Scheifele's linemates into the mix. Camara or Athanaisou would be great for him to work with. Then again, I'm not incredibly versed in our junior talent.

Visiting on a weekday :O oh em gee

Isn't Gally an American?

Tidbit I posted elsewhere:

I prefer 3 scoring lines over top6/bottom6 style. Also, I like to circle my players around my C.
RNH is a guarantee for the 1st (if he's coming, we'll just assume). So two spots remain with strongest candidates being Strome, Scheifele, Monahan and MacKinnon. Scheifele I'd say is better suited for a offensively dangerous but defensively sound 3rd C. Strome has played wing and plays well while MacKinnon seems to not play out of position as well with high QoC. So with that I'd put the 3 top9 pivots as RNH, MacKinnon and Scheifele.
So then for our 6 wingers strongest candidates would be: Huberdeau, Strome, Drouin, Monahan, Rattie, Ritchie, Hudon, Jenner, Puempel, Griffith and maybe one or two others. Keep Drouin with MacKinnon and I think Huberdeau is all but a lock for the first line. I could see either Rattie or Strome switching the top two lines so I won't make a decision. I like Jenner too and think he'd pull off a solid 4th line pivot:

1: Huberdeau - RNH - Strome/Rattie
2/3: Drouin - MacKinnon - Strome/Rattie
2/3: xx - Scheifele - xx
4: xx - Jenner - xx
xx: Monahan, Ritchie, Griffith, Hudon, Puempel, Danault and Lessio... I'm still having difficulty deciding on which 4 of these would get the pick and order but I don't think many would beat these for the spots...

back to my studies

Placing pairs that already have chemistry definitely wouldn't hurt.

Camara has played a ton with Scheifele, Hall too. Athanaisou, not so much.

Broncos won 5-1 and Lowry scored the first goal of the game. He was +1.

Yuen was -2 and had no Points in a 2-3 loss to Kelowna. Olsen neither had points and was even in plusminus.

The Bulls beat the Ice Dogs 6-2 and Brassard had 1 G 0 A and was a +1.

Thanks to the power of the mighty internet, even the farest fan can upload the prospect scores first

Thaht would have been a nice slogan for a commercial for the internet. Guess you don't need it anymore. I'm always too late with my one billion dollar ideas.

Yeah, I called in to tech support after a few hours. I was just glad to hear it wasn't me. At least the TV worked.

I updated stats and I'm going to look back at the Bulls game to see wtf Brassard did near the end of the game.

LOL Niagara guy hit Brassard a little high and Brassard cross-checked him into the bench and they started fighting - Brassard on the ice and the IceDog on the Bulls bench.

Does this mean that they're going to put it on Sportsnet? Will they actually broadcast it here, or will it just be WHL hockey?

SN Ontario or SNEAST I think... That's the channel I saw the commercial on anyways.

Uh oh: 1 minute left in the Colts game, Windsor has pulled within 1 (3-2), and the Colts just took a penalty. 6 on 4 for about 1 minute... Scheifele has been held off the scoreboard.

EDIT: Scheif out there for the last minute on the PK.
EDIT2: and Scheifele gets the EN goal. So, he finishes with 1G.

4-2 final, in favour of the Colts. Scheifele is in 2nd in the OHL scoring behind Strome with 44pts. 2 games in hand on Strome, but Strome is 8pts ahead, with 52pts.

Weird year for Schief. His goals almost match his assists.

Less Telegin, more Camara, Hall, etc. Telegin helped notch many of Scheif's assists... Also: it looks like Scheifele has realized he's got a top notch shot, and he's utilizing it more.

Jokinen II?

I think Hall being moved on to the top line in early Nov may be a big part of it:

Sept + Oct
Scheifele 15gp 8G 15A
Hall 13gp 9G 13A

Nov
Scheifele 11gp 13G 8A
Hall 12gp 0G 14A
