Keep checking KHL's youtube page and usually they have all game highlights up by now...

Maybe the video guy was sick today.

Scoring leaders:
1. Mozyakin 41 = 16 g + 25 a
2. Radulov 37 = 15 g + 22 a
3. Malkin 33 = 11 g + 22 a
Kulemin 17 = 9 g + 8 a
Gonchar 17 = 2 g + 15 a

Malkin was named as team captain per the Metallurg website.

Doesn't go in to any detail as to why, just that he's the new captain and that Sergei Mozyakin and Yevgeny Biryukov remain as the alternates.

He's just small and, at almost 32, has basically tailored his game to the European, specifically KHL, style. I think it's too difficult for a guy probably already on the decline to make the necessary adjustments to thrive in the best league in the world. and I doubt he'd wanna come over anyway, I assume he has a family he wouldn't want to uproot.

Disappointing. I thought you were being specious for the hell of it, which I'd applaud .

But now... I am sorry, but you don't lead the KHL in points ahead of Radulov, Malkin and Kovalchuk at this stage of a star infused season there without being flat out able to play.

He can be a perimeter guy all he wants if he can execute well enough, score and set up people. Then it is all down to his own wishes to relocate, family, money requirements etc. Those things can kill it, sure. Fair enough. But if they don't, I don't buy the stereotypes.

Attach him to Malkin/Neal and if that doesn't work I will be the one to defaecate, on my own floor.

It's all moot, he won't play in the NHL because he doesn't want to.

It appears that Geno has a game today against Spartak....

http://en.khl.ru/

My only question is...what time does it start in Eastern time??? It's currently 6:40AM here.

Holy crap.

It went from being 2-0 Magnitogorsk to now 3-3 in less than 5 minutes.

You see? After a few weeks back in Russia, the drinking starts again and all the Russian attitude problems well documented by Canadians everywhere, set in. If Malkin doesn't leave Russia within a month, he's finished. We'll be mentioning him in the same breath as Radulov soon!

Soon, huh?

Just an update about the kneeing minor that Malkin was arguing with the linesman about ... MMg appealed that and the KHL found that it was a bad call and suspended the zebra who made the call. Not that it wipes out the loss, but maybe the calls won't be so terribad for a while anyway.

Malkin all over the scoreboard.

A goal and four assists and I don't think the game is even quite over.

Our old pal Gonchar playing well, too, it seems.

Malkin caught up Radulov in scoring race.
Today he has 1 + 4, Mozyakin 2+2, Kulemin 2+1, Gonchar 1+2

1. Mozyakin 48 = 20g+28a GP 30
2. Malkin 41 = 13+28 GP 28
3. Radulov 40 = 16+24 GP 32
