I am literally going to **** bricks.

I might have an internship with the Cubs in the summer. Not going to say how, but there's a real chance something might get done. Whether it's extensive or introductory, that would be awesome to have that kind of experience working in a professional sports field.

There are no guarantees, but I am getting excited. I'd work for free (probably would be anyway) just to have that experience under my belt and that awesome of an opportunity.

Well, I haven't gone trick-or-treating for a long time so I'm not sure. I sure as hell wasn't going this year. Too much party time to miss.

Likewise, actually. Hopefully, I see you there. You're getting my coffee.

I don't care what I am doing as long as I have some sort of position.

Just ate my first papaya seed... Had always thought you weren't suppose to eat them.

Did not taste anything at all like I would have guessed. That was funky.

Congrats,

As someone who started with internships I would advise you to be the most unforgettable unmemorable person there.

Here's what I mean, do everything asked of you without question, do things you know need to be done without asking, show up early, leave late. Be the best employee while at the same time be someone who keeps his head down, don't go poking around, don't go asking questions about the team or players, don't try to find out any info, don't try to score cool things or tickets, don't try to meet players and get access to areas, just work.

Like I said be someone they remember who you are but don't know who you are. If you do a good enough job you could turn it into an actually job and not just an internship.

But don't forget to enjoy it.

Thanks for the advice.

I am going all out and cherishing every moment if it works out. No guarantees, but I would love an opportunity. I am a high-character, hard-working kid. I'd do a good job.

I'd say becoming a Bears fan would help you as well having an internship for the CHICAGO Cubs

Would never work for a stubborn organization like the Bears.

You'd think the field would be adequate by now.

Well I'm saying if you work for the Cubs I'm sure they want a Chicago fan in their organization. But I'm just giving you a hard time.

I also think you would work for the Bears if the opportunity arose to work for any NFL team.

I really doubt they'd care who their employee is a fan of, if even a fan of sports (pending on the position), and they'd hire the best possible candidate to perform the job. It is a business looking to generate revenue, after all, and not a fan club.

Probably, but that's if I got rejected by the Bulls, Hawks, and Cubs first.

I want to always live near Chicago. I don't know if I want to live in Green Bay. It's cool on gameday but not sure the other 357 days are also awesome.
