So apparently the Red Sox may move off of Napoli and onto LaRoche.
Also, old man Rivera re upped with the yanks for one more year. I have a feeling he's gonna be pretty pedestrian this year for some reason. He's been great even as an older player but I've got a feeling he's not gonna be quite as lights out as he's been in the past.

He may be the best closer ever but Rivera is what 43 yrs old?
I wasn't overly impressed with him in 2011.

Just don't let him shag flies again.
As much as it pains me to say it he's likely very much the best closer of all time. But yeah he's getting up there and coming off an injury that had him sidelined for a year. I just have a feeling it'll be a different more normal type of closer.
I should add that I think he'll go from elite to good/great
I think John Buck could make sense for them -- looking at how bad the market is, he might be the third best catcher behind Pierzynski and Napoli ("catcher" is used loosely towards Napoli).
His 2011 season was better than 2010 and 2010 was pretty darn good.
In 2011 He doesn't intimidate me like he used to. I no longer feel that the game is over just because he is coming in from the bullpen, like I would have a few years earlier.
He's still great, but I used to walk away from the TV when he came in in the 9th.

I would have already had him at the great level for a few years. I know he is still in the heads of a lot of players, but he isn't invincable anymore.
I'm not trying to insult him. I would compare him to... Like the Wayne Gretzky who only scores 110pts a year. He just isn't the same as he used to be but he still might be 3rd best in the league.
