Matt Hardy: "Very likely" in response to a potential Hardy Boys 2013 WWE reunion

http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/news/1...to-wwe-in-2013

Quote:
Promoting his appearance this Friday for WOH Wrestling at Whitehall Athletic Club in Whitehall, New York, this Friday, Matt Hardy appeared on Passing The Torch Radio. During the interview, Hardy was asked about the possibility of a Hardy Boys reunion in WWE next year, with him being a free agent and Jeff's contract with TNA Wrestling expiring in February.

He responded, "Very likely!"
It's Matt Hardy, so take it with a grain of salt.

Wouldn't mind seeing it happen, but yea, seems unlikely. Seems like a step down for Jeff considering where he's at now, and a big step up for Matt considering where he's at (professionally, physically, and mentally)

Please, no. Matt looked horrible at the end of his tenure and Jeff Hardy is wreckless nowadays. No thanks. If they're willing to job to put some young tag teams over, then okay...

WWE makes Jeff Hardy a star. They should both be dying to come back. WWE doesn't really need them. It's a wasted contract.

Maybe they'll be back in the video game, but that's it.

When was Jeff ever not "wreckless"?

Jeff comes back, instantly becomes one of the most popular people in WWE again and would be pushing merch like crazy. WWE doesn't "need" him, but it would be far from a "wasted contract", if they are satisfied with his mental state then they would absolutely love to have him back.

The star power on the full time roster is lacking big time, Jeff helps with that big time.

Jeff Hardy could roll out of bed on heroin and easily be WWE's no.2 face, sad but true imo...

I'd rather Bubba Ray and D'Von come back. Not these drugged up clowns.

Matts a train wreck, and Jeff is over rated, wreckless in the ring and a terrible speaker on the mic.

I think WWE has passed them by.

Jeff is still a draw though, and a big one. If he came back, he'd be the #2 draw instantly.

How is Jeff overrated when basically everyone acknowledges that he is "wreckless" and cuts terrible promos? everyone thinks this.

But the fact remains, Jeff is one of the most popular wrestlers in modern times. It doesn't matter that he doesn't check off whatever requirements you or the IWC thinks need to be met in order to be a great wrestler, he checks off the most important requirements in the real world, he draws, he is over, he makes money.

" Very likely " is also the correct response to this question: is it going to be hard to find somebody that gives a damn about a Hardy Boys reunion ????

Isn't Jeff Hardy pretty popular in TNA right now? Honestly if it ever happens people are going to go crazy, at least for the return. Once the novelty wears off not so much.

Jeff Hardy, maybe.

Does any demographic still care about Matt? Cant see why the WWE would bring him back.

If WWE brings back one or the other, obviously Jeff is miles ahead of Matt. The merch sales he would bring in, along with the fact that everyone loves the guy and he would become the #2 face right away, would have WWE foaming from the mouth as they handed him a contract offer. Matt on the other hand, while once was deemed "Everyone's favorite wrestler," has seen his stock hit rock bottom. He did it to himself, quite frankly, with all his dumb videos and grapes.

As a team, I think WWE could see some interest. They could really do wonders with making teams more legit, like the Primetime Players. Teams like Rey/Sin Cara and Bryan/Kane are already considered legit because of their history as singles wrestlers. However, a team like PTP could really benefit from a feud with the Hardyz that would ultimately see them going over. Maybe even for the titles.

I think if Jeff can stay clean and Matt can stay... not stupid, this could work.

For all the crap Matt gets for being "fat Hardy", he was noticeably getting in shape in his last TNA stint and the matches he was putting on were good solid matches. But of course then there's the whole posting up suicide notes on youtube etc

They'll never really be the Hardy Boyz again though, and I imagine a "Hardy Boyz reunion' would consist of WWE throwing Matt a contract to appease Jeff in negotiating with him.

I would be willing to give it a shot. I really enjoyed their work...like 15 years ago, but still would be cool to see them both in a multiple team ladder match or something. They put on a hell of a show several times in those arenas. Like others have said, I think Jeff would still be a very solid draw if he was pushed as a top face, or even if to bring some legitimacy back to the midcard titles.

You guys are all lying to yourselves if you wouldn't want to see Jeff Hardy in a MITB match again.

Not a fan of either Hardy and never really have been. I'm sure WWE would like to get Jeff back eventually but I don't know about Matt.

Of course, maybe they want him to start working off some of the money they've dished out to him for rehab. I keed, I keed
