I really hope that Mark Fraser gets a chance with the Leafs. He's a +6 with the Marlies and a real leader with his fights and hits. The team seems alot bigger with him on the ice. He seems to have the exclusive role of enforcer with the Marlies so hopefully he makes it through the season intact; gonna be a long ride if he keeps answering the bell.

Wondering the same thing myself. I think he's been a healthy scratch the last bit but I'm not 100% sure. He works hard but the offensive side hasn't had a chance to shine yet. From his play it seems like he's developing into a third line sort of grinder.

That's kind of funny.

He's stuck at 2 goals same as ...

He's 20 (youngest) on a team that signed some veterans and is playing at a .528 clip. Even Kadri has to fight to get minutes at center, and he's in his 3rd. AHL season.

If he's playing 3rd. line minutes perhaps he's being developed the proper way to become a center in the pros. Give him time at center, even if it isn't on an offensive line.

Mckegg still ways to go guys, I told you when I saw him on the ice he was really struggling, it might be a while before gets to the point where he play well. However I am willing to wait and hopefully surprises soon since Eakins was praising him quite a bit.

Matt Frattin - How good is this player?

I am not able to watch any of the Marlies games so can anyone comment on Matt Frattin and how he is playing this year. Should i put a lot of stock in the fact that the first 5 games he is back he has 5 goals (but no assists). Also noticed he is a -2.

He is 2 years younger then Kadri so i guess that is promising.

Matt Frattin is 2 years OLDER than Kadri, not 2 years YOUNGER. He took the college route. We could argue semantics about +/- all day but the Marlies had a rough weekend. He has an NHL-level shot and he is built like a tank. He is a shoot first kind of player and 20-25 goals a season in the NHL isn't out of his reach.

Will be merging in to Marlies Discussion thread shortly nonetheless.

Saturday 7:00 SN1
Sunday LEafsTV @ 3:00pm with 2:30 pre-game.

Nothing on Fridays game, Radio or TV.

Y'all know what I think of that.

I feel like more games were televised last season than this season. Rogers tv had a lot more games for sure. But I really hate not having the marlies vs barons games televised because those are the ones I wanted to watch the most -_-

They aren't showing any away games and the Marlies have had a lot of road games.

Only one game is on the broadcast schedule after DEC 21. I hope they plan to pick up a bunch more.

The Barons are something special this season.

Andrew Crescenzi with 1 goal and 2 assists last night. 7 points in 9 games now in the ECHL. I think he will turn it on. I honestly think he's one of our better prospects. Very low end potential, but better potential than most to take a regular shift in the NHL. Probably as a big 4th line defensive center.

Maybe like a Steckel, or dare I say it, a Gaustad.

I thought he and Carrick would be better served going back to the O for their overage year, hopefully this will work out.

So is Carlyle's system holding back the Marlies

It was pretty much agreed by most that the Marlies might not loose a game this season with their abundance of talent. We all know that the Marlies play the system that Kitty wants the Leafs to play. Is this what has rendered the Marlies pretty much a 500 team or was the talent overrated from the start. Or like the Leafs the system doesn't match the personel and is a receipe for failure going forward.
