It was only a few years ago I thought 40 was old. Now it's coming fast.
Come to think of it what if this girl I've been speaking of has the same mentality as you? She probably won't be too interested in an ancient guy!
Based off of my limited knowledge about anything, girls tend to like older guys. I'm 18 and basically still just a dumb kid. She's 22 and pretty much an independent adult. She would think better of you than say.....me.

I agree on the older guy part, but I'm a little more than an older guy to her. I figure on older guy to her is like 27-28 or so. That would be pretty weird if her mom had her when she was like 15, and I was almost as old as her mom.

Now you're turning into me and thinking of crazy scenarios.
FTR, no, she probably doesn't have some specific phobia about men in their 30's who enjoy hockey.

She definitely does not like hockey though haha. Last girl I took to a game when I still lived in Jersey complained that the goal horn was too loud haha.
I mean no disrespect whatsoever and generalizations don't really mean much when we're looking at individual cases, but I would say your age difference is absolutely going to be a hurdle and it will more than likely give her pause. Again, no disrespect meant, but I tend to be a bit blunt - it's because I try to be truthful. I still stand by every bit of advice I have posted previously, including just biting the bullet and going for it, but I warn you that a 14 year old age difference to a 22 year old is quite large, usually. Twenty-two is rarely, truly an independent adult; I would actually argue that in this day and age, it is most often still quite adolescent, almost. My little brother will be 22 shortly and he is hardly a grown man. Hell, I'm hardly better myself. I'm not saying this to dissuade you, nor because I believe it's not possible for her to be open and interested to an older man. I'm only saying it to prepare you for the likelihood that she be uncomfortable with such an age gap. I still encourage you to put yourself out there and eliminate the "what if" because there is certainly no harm in it, no certainty that age will be an impediment and nothing wrong with dating a 22 year old, at all. I just think it's best that I speak bluntly and realistically about the topic.

It's cool man, I don't take it personally. In fact it's one of the most intimidating things about this situation is the age difference. She currently does not know how old I am. Maybe she can tell, maybe she can't. As long as I shave a day or two before going in there, and get rid of some of those pesky gray hairs by the chin I should be good!

Are you willing to consider a career with us here at the CIA?
It all depends on the girl. My girlfriends best friend is 25 and dating a 47 year old. She is mature for her age. Most girls are more mature than guys when it comes to most things. you may be surprised at how many things you have in common, especially if you are relatively in shape as the better shape you are in the more energy you have
I finally got my last wisdom to tooth pulled out today. The only good thing about that is that I think they drugged me too much and I'm still feeling it afterwards.

I never got my wisdom teeth out, which is awesome and terrible. Awesome because I never had to go through it, terrible because I have since gotten cavities on all four of them. Those ****ers are IMPOSSIBLE to brush.
SHM tix? That's cool. I never really got into the whole house music thing, but they sort of brought it to the limelight, no? Their song "Don't Your Worry" has been getting some plays on my iTunes recently, I will admit. I understand the house thing though. *****es can dance to house music, nobody can dance to grunge

My dad is coming back after over a month in the hospital in Europe
