Ryder took a break from Cricket earlier in the year, even turning down a national contract, he's got a lot of issues. He's started playing domestically in NZ again recently and putting some big runs on the board but don't expect him to be in the national team for a while yet. Maybe early next year when the English come.

Didnt he get cited for code of conduct couple days ago (something about having a go at the umps)? I recall hearing about it on radio.

Yeah he got cited for dissent after an appeal he made while bowling got rejected, not too big of a deal really these things happen, not that I condone it. It will probably get blown out of proportion because it's his first game back and he's Jesse the problem child and has no self discipline and blah blah blah.

He also scored centuries in both innings

Indian cricket authorities are right *******s.

TMS was nearly refused access to commentate and no pictures are allowed to accompany media reports. The telegraph did their own:

BD need 245 to win, with 78 overs left against the Windies. Better not screw this up.

Well we inevitably lost. But at least we kept to under an innings.

As did we, except we throw a very easy, and winnable game. Everyone except Shakib, and a couple others were trying to imitate a 1996 WC Jayasuria .

And that is stumps! What a day of cricket this has been, something quite unexpected. If the first half of the day belonged to Fidel Edwards with his five-wicket haul, the second part was totally for Abul Hasan, who became the first ever batsman in 110 years to score a century from number 10 on debut. On the whole, Bangladesh will be happy with their score of 365/8 on what has been a slow and flat pitch.

Yea they have. The track seems pretty flat from what I see. The two wickets we got were more mistakes made by the batsmen than exceptional bowling. Although, considering situations, bowling has been solid.

BD top order made a mess things on a good track. Anything below a 450 total on this surface is underwhelming. WI should get to that mark unless we can get a quick flurry of wickets.

On another note:

Pwnage. That's the only word for it. Either that or Michael Clarke has been playing in god mode. How else could one explain Clarke scoring his fourth Test double-century this year, a feat that nobody, not even Bradman, has ever achieved? How else could

Shakib and Nasir put on 140 for the last session, and take BD to only 35 behind with day 5 remaining.

Shakib tries to slog, and gets out on 97, on the last ball of the day.

It's like they don't have brains sometimes.

That was a good win against the Windies.

Big news:

As emotional as anyone has ever seen him, Ricky Ponting lost his customary composure when telling team-mates of his decision to retire from international cricket on the eve of the third Test against South Africa in Perth.

It was time. Good call on his part.

On the topic of Australia, they've got a massive challenge in this test. 2 whole days to bat, and they need 632 to win. Lets see if they can drag this out to a draw.

So Andrew Flintoff is now a boxer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20523012

Bangladesh wins the 5 match ODI series vs West Indies.

It has been a good year for us in terms of ODI. Asia Cup finals, and then beating the current T20 champions in a 5 match series. It's the first 5 match series win on home soil for us, I believe.

Loved seeing Morgan smash the ball for 6 after India's time wasting.

Eoin Morgan is a T20 beast.

Sachin retiring is best for Indian cricket. Gives you guys enough time to find a replacement for the World Cup.

Clarke has just been phenomenal. I remember when I watched him starting out. Knew he'd be great.

Sachin retiring sucks, but it was coming. What a legend.
