Spencer Abbott, Mark Fraser (shoulder), Brad Ross, Kenny Ryan, Jussi Rynnas (groin) and Dylan Yeo were scratched
or out injured last night for Toronto.
Yeah, both teams are expected to tweak their lineups. The Amerks will dress Adam, who skated with Mancari in yesterday's practice; while the Marlies, who had 3-in-4 last weekend and begin a 3-in-3 weekend tonight, are expected to rotate personnel and account for Fraser's injury.

Marlie injury update: D Mark Fraser (strained shoulder) and G Jussi Rynnas (groin) will likely miss next three games until next week.
Schiestel dresses again as Parker and JGL sit; is skating with Adam and Mancari.
1st period notes:
RCH PENALTY as Rankin gets two for hooking; Ashton and Kadri with point-blank chances on a centering pass and rebound respectively, Leggio saves twice; a backdoor pass redirected on net, Leggio saves again; penalty expires.
TOR PENALTY as Acton gets two for tripping Adam behind the net as Scrivens gave it away; left circle shot on SH 3-on-2 saved by Leggio; RCH counters as Porter takes a drop pass, but Scrivens flashes the glove; penalty expires.
TOR PENALTY as McKegg gets two for holding; RCH barely can get past their blue line; SH chance for Hamilton saved; Rankin with three whacks from the goalmouth but can't put it past Scrivens and his right pad; penalty expires.
RCH PENALTY as Biega get two for tripping...
TOR GOAL! 1-0 TOR. Ashton; assists to Aucoin and Kostka. Pysyk whiffs on the poke check as Aucoin splits the defense and then dishes to Ashton on the left for the one-time goal.
TOR GOAL! 2-0 TOR. Frattin; assists to Deschamps and Blacker. Just 0:15 later, Frattin picks the top corner after being left alone in the slot.
TOR PENALTY as Ashton gets two for holding Brennan...
END OF 1ST PERIOD. 2-0 TOR. SHOTS 14-10 TOR. RCH 5V4 1:14.
A definite advantage to the Marlies that period as Leggio came up on huge several occasions; conversely, the only real RCH chances were the Porter and Rankin opportunities noted above.
EDIT: It's 3-0 now as Frattin snipes another one. I think Brennan was the one with the original turnover behind the net and the **** coverage afterward.
embarrassing game to be at and watch...
and with that I give this caveat...the amerks hit everything in sight and tried to instigate as many fights as possible to get things turned around...the Marlies demonstrated both an excellent level of cowardice and level of patience n maturity by not being egged into it...
Foligno-the usual hit everything he could, tried to start about 5 fights finding no takers, had chances but lacks real finish...was the least of our concerns
Flynn-was the usual impressive sparkplug til he gift wrapped an empty netter...embarsssing
Rankin-tried to throw his body otherwise was kinda meh
Adam-belch
Mancari-had he not saved a goal by literally pulling it off the crease Id be bashing him up and down this board...gotta go
Varone-his footspeed impressed me, he got around on defense but on offense...meh
Roy-reminds me of gerbe....hit people twice his size...plays twice his size, yet results are minimal..often times like gerbe. still love him...
Brennan...defense still is iffy, still tries to play wing every chance he gets...AM VERY IMPRESSED BY HIS WILLINGNESS TO BE PHYSICAL. Sorry to bold that but...he really showed something tonight I dont usually see from him...
Finley-not as bad as usual...couldnt find a taker for a fight
Pysyk-most invisible hes been all year...not sure if thats a compliment or negative...absolutely nothing bad to say...nothing great though either...had a terrible turnover and turned around rode his guy into the boards taking him down and regaining the puck...def a game highlight for me.
McNabb...mostly terrible again...outlet passing is terribleee. needs to either focus on shooting or hitting cuz this middle game is embarassing.
Biega-thought this was one of his worst games this year and hes had some good ones so its hard to get on him much...questionable passing but no one else seems to be willing to help him out so...
Leggio-unreal for almost a first period...then dropped the ball...looks terrible handling the puck...looks awesome...then terrible...idk what to make of him...theres times I think he could rival Miller or Rinner etc other times he looks like a backup...cant seem to put whole periods/games together...bails us out which buys us sympathy but he really can be a bonehead too
I'm choosing to recycle last night's GDT for the second leg of the home-and-home with Toronto. Also, I didn't watch the second half of Friday's game as closely as usual – BC@BU was on NBCSN – so I've got no additional notes to share.

Friday's boxscore:
Quote:
Toronto Marlies 4 at Rochester Americans 1 - Status: Final
Friday, November 30, 2012 - Blue Cross Arena
Rolston put Schiestel with Mancari and Roy with Flynn. Right then and there, there was no chance of offense.
I'm sorry but there's no coaching. No leadership. They are never prepared. Amerks gave up 2 goals in 15 seconds. Rolston stood there like a statue. Toronto gives up 1 goal then another scoring chance, and Eakins calls a time out.
The way this entire D core has played it is very confusing why the coaches are singaling out only a couple of players. Crawford sitting is a head scratcher.
