Zatkoff with the 7-1 winning record in November, he recorded 0.99 GAA and 96,3% save percentage. Those are some numbers! Thiessen is really uncomparable to him. Wish we would have Zatkoff last year instead of Johnson... (maybe even instead of Fleury in that PO series vs Flyers), he seems really ready for NHL action. Best summer´s addition by Shero.

Yeah, Zatkoff is a beast of a goaltender. I cannot wait to see him in some NHL action.

Sill is ready to play. The coach will have a hard time picking out who will play. I loved the Megna, Kuhn, Gibbons time last game, but i bet thats the line that has the biggest chance of being broken up

He's definetly been a good signing but who knows if he will stick around for 2 more years.

I´m really interested in today´s match vs Syracuse. Syracuse is the best team in the league with excellent offensive depth. Gonna be a big test for our young defense and for Zatkoff.

His contract runs out right when Vokoun's does, which would seem to work out perfectly for him to slide into a back-up role here.

1-way contract would be the key. He wont get a starting job in the NHL anywhere as an unproven goalie at the NHL-level. And if he feels confortable with the organisation i dont see why he shouldnt sign a 1-way deal with us after his current deal expires.

A line with Uher, Veilleux and Sill would of been nice. I guess Wheeling will get more depth which is good.

I'm guessing Steve MacIntyre will be dressed tonight against Syracuse. There are many willing players on that team (i.e. Nightingale, Angelidis, Gudas, Neilson and Labrie). But it wouldn't surprise me if he's not dressed because Syracuse is the best team in the east.

Thought that was the other Chris Higgins at first glance. Was like what the hell is he doing in the ECHL?

Honestly, I think its better off for both Uher and Veilleux to go to Wheeling and play full-time rather than be rotated in-and-out of the lineup and play lesser minutes. Veilleux needs to play games in the worst way and it doesn't do a young guy like Uher much good not regularly playing, especially considering he was doing a pretty solid job in his role.

Yeah exactly. And if you are putting up stats like he is in the AHL, no reason to feel comfortable in giving him a 1 way at the end of his current deal.

I also think he'll see some time in the NHL well before then, if not just to throw the guy a bone for playing so well. Injuries are bound to happen.

Ross and Kramer just fought. Kramer jersey'd Ross and got in some good lefts, but Ross stood strong.

Beau Bennett is looking great so far. He created a turnover that also created a scoring chance.

Boy, that was pathethic defense on the goal against.... 2 pens players in front of the goal and no one picked up the syracuse player (who btw only had 2 in hte entire zone, 1 with the puck and the man who scored)
