Agreed, that would've been a perfect time to get the monkey off his back and tie the game, he's had a half dozen or better of those this year and hasn't scored on a single one of them.

One thing we should take away from games like this is that just having a gaggle of stars is never going to be enough to succeed.
Its not enough in the AHL and it certainly won't be enough in the NHL.
The Aeros were down their two best players but the guys above ate our lunch.
Coyle was not impressive in either game of this series meaning Phillips was the only real star draft pick who played well for the Aeros.

Paajarvi simply doesn't have finish. I doubt he ever breaks 50 points in the NHL. It is still too soon to know for sure, but I have never seen a positive sign that suggests he can be a goal scorer. Not good at dekes, below average shot, and he sometimes seems to panic when he has a chance to make something happen. He will still have value in the NHL though.

and that would be fine, this team is gonna need 3rd line players, who can kill penalties, skate like the wind, and fill in on the 2nd line in case of injuries. Not every draft pick has to be an all-star to be a good pick. MPS is player, he might not be a big scorer, but that's one thing this team isn't short on... Eberle, Hall, RNH, and Yakupov all have the ability to score 30 plus goals per season, 40 isn't out the question for 2 or 3 of them. MPS could be a very useful player for this team, even if it is only in a 3rd line role.
It doesn't matter how skilled they are, our wonderkids can't withstand a physical, intense contest. If the other team is willing to get their nose dirty and you aren't then you'll lose 9 out of 10 times.
So a whole week now to get back on track. Please make it so. These last 2 games could have put us at the top of the league and instead we lost 4 points we could have had.
I often criticize ebs, since I see him as the worse of the three, but he consistently proves me wrong. Good for him. Now I see RNH as the third most skilled on the line.
Don't get me wrong, they're all studs. It's just I see Ebs as the most complimentary player.....but not anymore. He has impressed me this year.
Landeskog would have blocked all the shots on the Aeros' goal. Ryan Murray would have saved the game by skating smoothly. Seguin would have had three hockey sense goals in the first period alone.
Sequin's hockey sense would have built a force field around the Baron's net through which no puck could penetrate.
His acute hockey sense of smell would having him sniffing out at least a hat trick per period (the natural kind of course), while Hall is fumbling around with his sock tape on the bench while trying to spell ball.
I heard Seguin was sent from a distant planet to save the NHL.
In an attempt to thwart Seguin's destiny, two of earth's most diabolical characters, Gary Bettman and Donald Fehr, have teamed up to stop him the only way they know how...
