Houston won Barons(oilers) yesterday and today. I think they are a little overrated.

Add Bulmer and Kampfer to that list as well. That's four very important players out.

Just tells about Minnesota's depth right know. It also shows that OKC might not be that unbeatable after all.

Imagine this team once we get Granlund, Brodin, Kampfer and Bulmer back. Granlund will probably play VS Texas on Friday.

Yesterday was a shootout and today's was by one goal. Either game could have gone either way.

Oilers will be fine. But the Barons without their 3-4 top NHLers might struggle greatly.

After an 0W-4L start, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are 12W-3L in their 15 games and 7W-1L in their last 8.

Bah. Aeros outplayed the Barons yesterday. Can't say I caught todays game, but the score was a lot closer than the game was played (yesterdays game).

The Heat are doing very well this season despite not being loaded with world-class prospects.

John Weisbrod and Troy Ward are excellent (and underrated) assets to the Flames organization IMO.

I agree yesterday they deserved the win but still it came down to a shootout. Today's game was a lot closer, OKC just takes too many bad penalties.

They aren't overrated, they just have zero depth outside their big 4 . They are going to be in a lot of trouble once RNH, Eberle, Hall, Schultz get called up.

Yeah, it's weird that they finished so high up in the standings last year when you think about it... I guess it has to do with the lack of veteran leadership this year. Guys looked up to Keller, Moran, Helmer, Rodney, etc. and they're having a lot of trouble with their departures. They've also been missing their captain and one of their best players in Josh Green for most of the season now, which definitely hurts. Another thing is the regression of a few players like Plante, Ringwald, Cornet, the goalies, etc.

But I'm expecting them to struggle for sure, once the big four get called up. Next year, Hartikainen should figure in the Oilers lineup as well, so that would be a huge blow for the farm team.

OKC had 4 for sure NHLers, Aeros have one(Scandella) with Granlund and Brodin out.

The Sound Tigers are falling apart. No wins in 4 games. They're now something like 10-8-0-0.

Cam Tucker ‏@CamTucker_Metro #AHLHeat dust off Hamilton 5-1. Now 9-0-1-1 on home ice. Over that span at AESC, the Heat have outscored opposition 42-12. That's insane.

They are also a little bit soft. But yeah. Good AHL teams have a mixture of veterans and youngsters.

Zucker is absolutely on for the Aeros. 18 points in 11 games. More than a 1.5 ppg. damn good for an often overlooked prospect.

Not enough Bsens love in this thread so let me fix that.

BSENS BSENS BSENS BSENS BSENS BSENS BSENS BSENS

7 straight wins by the youngest team in the league, and the goals are just starting to come as most of them are just getting used to pro hockey and NA ice.

The same top 5 as around a week ago (slightly different order).

The gap to the next team is almost exactly the same as the gap between 1 and 5 (Grand Rapids Griffins on 64.3%) Are these 5 pulling away?
This was posted about two weeks ago, here are the current top five on points percentage:

Abbotsford Heat 19GP 13-2-2-2 78.9%
Syracuse Crunch 18GP 12-4-1-1 72.2%
Springfield Falcons 18GP 11-3-1-3 72.2%
Binghamton Senators 17GP 11-4-1-1 70.6%
Charlotte Checkers 19GP 12-5-0-2 68.4%

Like LetsGoIslanders mentioned a few posts back, the Sound Tigers have been falling apart lately.

Currently tied for seventh in the AHL in points (with Binghamton at 24 pts), W-B/Scranton is showing that the East Division is really good right now. However, the South Division has Charlotte (26 pts), Oklahoma City and Houston (both at 25 pts).

Aeros are a good team and OKC is coming off a 6 game winning streak. Aeros have matched up good against them all year.
