Yep. The Board stated he won't get sacked, so if Wenger leaves, it will be basically him resigning/letting someone else take over. And quite frankly, it might be time. Yes he is an Arsenal legend, but the team is so dysfunctional. You can't change the whole team in 1 year, but you can change a whole team by switching up managers.

He will be one of the top5 managers to ever coach in EU Football, but his time might be right now to step down. Not really his fault, I'd blame it on the board above anything, but hey, we won't be able to change that

He's had that job for 16 years, if anyone will get them pulling in the right direction it's him. If anything the last few years should have taught English football fans how things work when you change manager in a panic.
I agree, but you can't change a whole squad as I stated above. Thats why he won't get sacked. If he leaves, it will be under his own terms, and most possibly, he will make sure that when he does leave, the board will of have already found a replacement. If you give Arsene all the money he wanted, he will be able to build a championship caliber team, hang on players like Nasri, RvP, Cesc amongst others. But that is the Arsenal Board & Ownership. They are ruining this club (Atleast for now until FPP is put in to place, and even there...)

Seriously wonder if the likes of Huntelaar will go to Arsenal, I just don't see the benefit there for him.

Arsenal seem to be going down the path of Liverpool tbh, except not blowing 25m+ on average English players

The biggest problem with getting rid of Wenger is that his prescient signings and promotions to the first team of really young players would go away with him, and with that so would Arsenal's advantage over other clubs who share the same financial constraints. On the other hand Arsenal clearly need steel in midfield and he absolutely refuses to do anything about it. So I don't know. But I do know they screwed up big time on this summer's forward signings.

And if you were to do this during the middle of the season, it's likely everything falls apart. Changing manager mid-season and then running towards top four is very abnormal.

Didn't see the game because I had a late night and the game was on FSC+ again. No point in firing Wenger when it's the owners who don't give a damn about the team.

E: It makes sense to me to be in the position we're in after losing one of the best players in the world.

Arsenal is now the place that good, but not great players go to for more playing time, basically.

I think Arsenal can regain their mid 2000s past once the owners see that this way of making and sustaining a team isn't working. Sadly this is a big "if".

Of course it's hard to lose your best players but some of his signings have been very bad (and they weren't exactly cheap)

I've never understood the hype about yes he's a decent player but he disappears many times

Reminds me of Walcott

What s stupid play by the Reading player. Barges Evans from behind, penalty to United. Rooney converts, 1-2.

Oh I agree to a certain point, some of those signings screamed panic to me. Young, Santos, Chamakh (even tho he was free), and Squillaci all fit that bill when things started falling apart (Nasri, Fabregas, etc.).

But Koscielny, Mertesacker, Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gervinho, Cazorla, Giroud, and Podolski have all been decent signings, with Miyaichi, Eisfeld, Campbell, and Jenkinson all seem to have decent potential as well. So I don't have any problem with Wenger, but with the owners who won't let Wenger buy a young star player like Gotze (again not saying he will come over, just using a young talented players as an example) and even if Wenger doesn't want to spend more than 30+ on a player, have the owners force him to buy one.

Rooney! 3-3

Last week I traded away Routledge in FPL, he scored two goals. This week I traded away Rooney for RVP, Rooney scores two goals...
