Durepos is not Great at any one thing, but is good at everything. I have him going to either Moncton, or Halifax. I would put my money that he wants to be in moncton, and, like many SJ players, he has a no trade deal with SJ, so he will decide where he goes if anywhere.
He's definitely not going to Moncton. We acquired our third overager when we traded for Narbonne. Narbonne is currently #4 among the league's top scoring dmen.
Which Oligny, Jonathan (CB) or Jimmy (PEI)? What type of D is he?
Jimmy, because he's 19. He's a tough player with some good offensive ability, and has come into his own this season... Played in the SSS, would be a great #2D for the PP, and is probably the top D that could be on the market this year.
Sawyer's back tonight. Should be a great game. I don't know who's going to be scratched but it doesn't really matter. Without Konrad in the line up our D isn't the same. Maybe with another overager in there they'll be a bit more confident.
The Moose D take a lot of heat and I'm not really sure why. Take Hannay for example, he's being talked about like we need to get anything for him. He's big, can fight, can get pucks & players out of the front of net. I'll be the first to say he was a plug two years ago but I think his game came around last year and if you ask me he was a pretty solid D man.
I'm not saying 'don't improve the D', but I don't recall a better group of D on any other team in the metro center this season. Aside from Olginy (PEI), what else is available that's going to make a big improvement? And who on the Moose D "has to go"?
I was at the game last night, good time had by all. Anyways a few observations from the game. MacKinnon had his best game in probably a few weeks. Gillard was solid last night a threw a couple of big hits. Frk was his typical self scoring some offense but still taking a couple of undisciplined penalties. Fucale has been lights out the last few weeks and was good again last night. It was nice to see Trey back on home ice and also contributed on the score sheet too.

One of the 20 yr olds. You're not going to keep Gillard and Hannay switching back and forth as scratches once Konrad Alphabet comes back and the WJC is done. Might as well try to get something for one of them.

Haha, fantastic. I usually just stick to calling him Konrad, but that was inventive! Gold star.

Baie-Comeau's is pretty good, BLB haven't made an appearance in Halifax yet either... I like Rimouski and Quebec on D too...
But I agree with your point on the Moose D being "under-rated" coming into the season. They averaged 23.2 shots against per-game before KA got injured... since then we've allowed 34 per-game.
I knew we are very dependant on KA, but it will be interesting to see if that trend continues. In fact, the D hasn't really looked out of place.
Some say we need another D, maybe one that takes away more high percentage chances, and I'd have to agree... But not as big a need as improving our 2nd line.
