How did Kadri play (he's a top leaf prospect so I'm forced to ask)? I only saw 5 minutes and he had a poor turnover and then Frattin scored immediately after.
On a related note: it appears almost a week after, upon further review (weird), they took away kadri's assist from last sunday. So bizarre. Hopefully with this super late system of review in place the nhl can now finally credit him with an assist on gardiner's first goal where in imo the puck clearly clacks off his stick, redirects, and then allows Gardiner to get a good shot off. Big part of the goal.

I noticed that when updating the stats on the first page. I thought I had gave him an extra one by mistake.

Well if they are getting good minutes I think playing against men and graduated juniors at least good enough to turn pro would be a greater challenge. Certainly, they might not face the best players their own age, but they won't be playing against 16 and 17 year olds will they?

He was the Leafs' leading scorer in the 196364, 196667 and 196970 seasons, and the team's top goal scorer in 197071 and 197273. Keon was considered one of the fastest skaters in the NHL, and one of the best defensive forwards of his era.[3] He would usually play against the opposing team's top centre, and developed a reputation for neutralizing some of the league's top scorers. In 197071, he scored eight shorthanded goals, setting an NHL record.

Or like the Leafs the system doesn't match the personel and is a receipe for failure going forward.
There are many here who love Eakins and wanted him to run the Leafs.

I'm on the fence with him, but he can only ice the assets given, and when the boss goes out and picks up a couple veterans you know what is expected. Aucoin is the only Marlie in the top 20. Also the only one in the top 30. Kadri is 51st., but just 3 points from top 20.

Just looking at the west:

Looking like quite a bit of parity in the AHL. 12th. place Chicago 3 points behind 6th. place Lake Erie.

Oklahoma went with mostly youngsters this year and didn't start out well, but going with the kids they are now in 4th., 3rd. if you go with just points. I read earlier this year they knew they'd have some issues but wanted to make sure they got playing time for their prospects and kind of bit the bullet. Looks like it might be paying off ... of course doesn't hurt to be able to put out Schultz, Eberle, Hall, RNH and does it matter?

Two different strategies, going for the win, by bringing in top veterans, or going for development by playing the kids.

Eakins only has partial control of what he puts on the ice ... you don't show up the boss and last long.

If he keeps putting up a goal a game, I don't care if he ever gets an assist.

You can't really believe this. Dude has vision and puck distribution issues. Would love to see him rack up some assists...

Nothing wrong with his vision of the top corner though! haha I get what you're saying however. His point distribution in the NHL last year was pretty even ( 8g, 7a). I think in the AHL though he's being used in a goal scoring role. Perhaps his linemates are looking to get him the puck because he has one of the best shots on the team if not the best.

Are they going to give Frattin the assist on Kadri's first goal? They gave it to Aucoin and Kostka but the secondary assist was from Frattin...

Frattin got an assist on the Kadri Goal.

However this team still hasn't picked up to the level it is capable of. Glad to see Ben back though.

Yes.

Pretty obvious when you see the replay, passed to Aucoin who then cross creased it to Kadri.

Gardiner has been pretty quiet lately. He had a great start for the season. I'm sure he'll pick it up for sure though. He's Gardiner afterall.
