i am not fan of the Bruins, nor of HC Biel or Seguin particularly. (nor an enemy ... i respect good hockey ... and Chara and Thomas!)
But i must say that the guy is a beast among the beasts !!
Here he plays in a very average team (pardon aux confrères Romands) and ... he's, in my view, the best NHL player in Switzerland !!
The one that yields the most.
hats down to him
a 2cts tip i give you : keep him
Thanks for the update, good to hear. We're going to keep him though
Well he was ranked #1 overall by central scouting. Before the draft I was actually crossing my fingers that Edmonton took hall. So lucky they did as far as I'm concerned. Not cause hall isn't really good. But I just saw seguins speed and his unbelievable shot an I knew he would be able to score at an NHL level. He also is a natural centre which is worth more in my eyes then a winger. Not to take any thing away from hall I just think seguin was the better option
Davos beats Biel 4-3 today. After a couple of scoreless contests, Seguin notches 2 goals and an assist in the loss.
This - more than anything else - is what angers me about this whole lockout, strutting around preening and posturing for the cameras and mics. This should have been the year when the Bruins were the most feared opponent in the NHL. Instead our players are scattered across the globe, we watch HGTV House Hunters or read a book, and that dirty rotten ...
I'll leave it unsaid, because the mods might take offense
I have always felt like Patrick Kane - while talented as all hell - was a bit too much of a party boy for his own good(hockey development wise).
Because of this, I always thought that Toews was really good for Kane. Keep him focused and hopefully stop him from getting hammered too much.
Anyway, is anyone concerned that without Toews around, that Kane could lead the even younger Seguin off the wagon?
I'm sure we have nothing to worry about...however I've always thought the first few seasons of a young up and coming player are very important in charting a path for their career.
And I want Seguin to be dedicated to be the best he can be, and not partying his potential away...
I don't think it's going to be a problem. I think Recchi and Bergeron had/have a lot of influence on Seguin. And if he does get out of hand, big Z may just show up in that bunny costume and scare him straight

i think people get way too hung up on the one Kane cabbie incident. Yeah that was bad, but it was a while ago and it's unfair to assume that he's still some kind of wild child. when's the last time he got into any sort of trouble? And Seguin seems quite mature for his age as well.

Well, Kane did go on a drunken bender at the University of Wisconsin this past spring, which reportedly caused some concern to the Blackhawks. Whether that's part of a pattern I have no idea.
Whether it is or not, though, to think that Seguin is going to start following Kane around like a sheep is to have a rather low opinion of Seguin's intelligence/maturity level.

Cinco De Mayo too, but it is what it is. He is young, self-made rich and thousands of fans have his name on their back. The average kid who has had his life tied up with a sport and has been the center of attention his whole life is typically going to act how cinco de mayo went. I agree that people get too hung up on it and forget what they were like. I'm the same age as Kane and have had numerous "elaborate adventures", as I'm sure many others have. He will learn from his mistakes and mature.
as far as I know some pics surfaced of Kane partying on Cinco De Mayo and that's the whole story. Did he get into trouble? Did he commit a crime? I didn't ask when is the last time he partied, I asked when is the last time it got him into trouble. That looked no worse to me than Seguin's bender following the cup win.
