Reid Boucher has 6 goals in last 3 games and has 3 more goals than 3rd overall drafted Alex Galchenyuk. However Galchenyuk has clearly..

Ryan Yessie ‏@RyanHPscout
Been the catalyst for them. Galchenyuk has the first assist on 4 of Boucher's 6 goals. Boucher has maybe 2 goals not 6 if not for Alex's..

Ryan Yessie ‏@RyanHPscout
creativity and vision. This is why we have been so high on Galchenyuk. He's making everyone who steps on the same ice as him a better player

Ryan Yessie ‏@RyanHPscout
So while Boucher is finishing at a very impressive rate, what is maybe even more impressive is some of the passes made to create those goals

HP had him as their #1 prospect for the 2012 draft.

Boucher is to Galchenyuk what Dany Roussin was to Crosby.

Not comparing Sid to Galchenyuk so no screaming, ladies and gents.

3-2. Galchenyuk did a good job down low, but you could feel they were going to get scored on. The defenceman were running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

4-2! Reid Boucher!

Galchenyuk was awesome defensively on that sequence. Blocked a shot and then did good work along the boards. Eventually cleared the puck out leading to a foot race which Sarault won and set up Boucher.

Not a sequence that will please TB fans as Koekkoek was ''manhandled'' by a much smaller Sarault say the CHOK radio guys.

Second career OHL hattrick for Gally!

First this season.

Even though he didn't get an assist on that play, Galchenyuk was awesome and deserve partial credit for that. Sarault did a great job on Koekkoek.

He's up to 1.78 in PPG, which now puts him in 2nd on that by a small edge over Griffith. He's still in a pack of players behind Strome but has moved from the middle to the front of the group in scoring rate.

Cody Hodgson's post draft year is probably the closest recent comparable to Galchenyuk's right now (~1.75 PPG, center in the OHL). Keep in mind this was before injuries derailed Hodgson's career.
