Watching the game on ahllive.com... seems like the XL Center, home of the Whale, has finally purchased some HD cameras, the new internet videoplayer is in use (2000kpbs)... compared to what was used before (700 or so kpbs), its quite decent/good quality.

About effing time they did this, we sent a man to the moon over 50 years ago on less technology than a 10 year old mobile phone..welcome to 2012 AHL and XL Center! LOL

Led 3-0, now 3-3, 2 brutal giveaways by Kolarik and Newbury led to 2 straight Crunch goals... Torts would have executed them in the hallway after the game.

Those 6 Dmen really make Marek Malik look like Nicklas Lidstrom... Whoever signed Collins and Pyett and said Klassen and Parlett are good enough for the AHL should be fired. I remember Vernace doing an interview how he can showcase himself for the NHL... buddy, you're not going anywhere NEAR the NHL.

Awful third. I was hoping for a shutout almost midway though the third, and instead they lost. Brutal.

I remember there used to be this hope floating around this board that Blake Parlett would maybe become at least the Kris Newbury of our defense-back and forth guy. Has he taken a step back in his development, or was that just never possible for him?

Bad attendance, won't argue you there. Got beat by Springfield. Bridgeport drew poorly this weekend as well (had 8,000 against the Whale last Saturday). I would have been at the Whale game tonight if we weren't at the UConn football game across the river in East Hartford. Not saying the 30,000 there would make any difference.

Just wait until Wednesday's crowd of around 2,000. The Hartford metro area is just in a struggle. Went to dinner at Hartford's best brew pub after the game at 7:30 and there were too many open tables for a Saturday night.

Didn't he also survive a couple rounds of cuts in the big training camp? I remember thinking the guy was solid.

The team was high on him two years ago. Said he was on the Dan Girardi development path. Then he gets a contract, is mediocre last year and **** this year. Too bad.

yea... the defense isnt that good.. all AHL depth players at best. not one player with an NHL future if it wasnt for Gilroy's skating, he would still be in the AHL as a regular because he is still too soft and weak for the NHL and is horrible defensively. McIlrath has been hurt and is the only one with an NHL future.... Rangers should have added some depth in this area.. too bad they didnt sign Myles Bell.. i hope they still consider him....
