From where I stand, all four are still just plausible, but I suppose that's just nit picking.
It's cause they are more proven in the pro level game. Wiercioch is the best defender for Bingo. He can easily get the 7th defense man position with Ottawa. Boro looked well and can most likely establish that role whether in Ottawa or somewhere else. Hoffman can find a role in the bottom 6 in Ottawa or another team, imo.

Puempel is lighting it up but it's the juniors and not in an exponential way. Heck, he has more potential than Wier, Hoff and Boro.

Fair point - took a 2nd round pick as well though. I guess I could say 2010 Took 2 NHL regulars (Stone and Rundblad)

We're probably 2/4 when it comes to the 2010 draft. It's on you to pick a lot, and we did in other drafts, where we shot for high percentages as well.

In general, you know your team is drafting well when your finding players and real legitimate prospects in all rounds. From top to bottom. Zack Smith was an NHLer within 2-3 seasons of being drafted (doesn't matter that he was older, he was available to everyone). Mark Stone may be an NHLer by the time he's 21 as a 6th rounder. Erik Karlsson was a Norris trophy winner by 21, taken outside the top 10. We made a move in 2010 that turned Rundblad into Turris, who is our 2nd line center. The team we traded with took a Russian (we wouldn't have), but for fun, he hasn't provided St Louis with anything yet, which means something, although he may turn out outstanding. The guy we would have picked, probably Bennett, is an AHLer, and may end up decent. Borowiecki may be an NHLer by 23, as a 6th rounder.

Pretty outstanding so far.

Noesen's first last night was a beaut. Inside move on the bailing dman than short side shelf from about 10-15 feet out from the back hand.

His second one:
"Curcuruto! Might be Noesen..."
"Pete, I know it's Noesen. I don't even need to see a replay. You and I have been doing games for a long time and I think you'll agree with me when I say I don't think I've seen a guy who's better at deflecting pucks anywhere near the net than #11."

That's what you call "Elite" hand eye coordination. I'd really love to see him in action.. can't wait until the WJC's.

Would love to see Ottawa go after Tom Wilson RW, by the time he is NHL ready Neil should be ready to retire or on his way out. I wonder if Washington would want Filatov as part of a package for him?

don't need him. and on top of that the price would be higher than filatov right now.

I think Neil still has 5 years left, would it really take him 5 years to be NHL ready?

Not to mention Neil was drafted in the 6th round.

You draft guys like him in the mid rounds and hope they develop like Neil did. You don't waste a 1st round pick on a guy you hope turns into Chris Neil. You use 1st round picks on guys you hope turn into Martin Havlat or Marian Hossa, even if they don't reach that type of potential.

So much higher. Filatov basically has no value. It's a ludicrous suggestion.

This. Plus Washington picked up Wilson hoping he will be a Lucic type player not a Neil.
