Should have had a point tonight, but hte ref blew the whistle to fast.

Was a sweet rush down the wing.

Frattin and Kadri were just a treat to watch today. I thought Ashton played really well towards the end. Gardiner was more noticeable this game than he was in the previous few. Kostka played great as always. When we were down one and when we were tied, everyone played really well IMO. The talent on this team shined through and they instantly clicked. Well deserved win.

Also, I loved the hustle from Deschamps today, he actually looked like he cared, I hope he keeps that up.

Deschamp really hasn't been impressing me at all in recent times but I am not judging him harshly due to the fact our entire team has been in a bad funk.

I'm no Scrivens hater, but he has been too hit and miss this season. Makes a fantastic save and in the same breath lets in a brutal softie- somewhat like Gustavsson in that regard.

I like Ben though. He just needs consistency.

Lol. It certainly is fun to see haha.

However, people are also forgetting this entire team is still meshing together, we haven't been as good as we are capable of.

Also agree. Deschamps and Ashton looked great tonight. Both were buzzing and making stuff happen. Ashton's actually pretty quick; he could be good when his body fills out more.

I haven't seen much of deschamp tonight but he hasn't been that electric as last season. I am very very glad that Ashton is taking the spot of Komarov slowly and steadily on covering the net. He has the skill we need him to bring it out, I really hope he does so.

We also don't hear as much about Deschamps on here now that that one guy is gone. Hopefully that changes cause it would mean he is playing well.

I wish somebody would have punched out Marcus Foligno. truculence may be an issue.

Mark Fraser is usually in the line up, and would have likely taken Foligno. I liked seeing Kadri lay some big hits on him a couple times.

I agree though. **** Foligno.

I wonder if Carlyle was watching that last game in the Ricoh Coliseum. If so, I'm sure Kadri made an impression.

How did Frattin only get credited for 1 assist?

Looking at the highlights I'm wondering that too. Obvious he should be credited with one on the first goal too.

Jesse Blacker will be a steady NHL Dman (IMO). He seems to have a solid all around game; and decent size.

He's got a lot of work to do, to improve on both his ability rushing the puck forward, and playing sound defensively, at the pro level. He's a hard working kid, and I hope he keeps at it. He COULD be a solid D-man if so.

Blacker has been awful. Easily our worst defenseman. He makes way too many mistakes, especially breaking out. But he is still young i guess...

Aside from that, it's nice to see Kadri playing so well. Hope he can keep up this pace for a good stretch. If he can prove he can be consistent over a long period of time, that will be his ticket to an NHL roster spot imo.

Also Frattin's a beast.

Im actually disappointed with his development thus far. I definitely see an NHL career for him, but last pre season he was battling Gardiner for a spot yet now is quite a step behind and showing little signs of imporvement. His transition hasnt been very smooth and is prone to mistakes especially on the rush which was one of his strengths in junior.

What a shame he doesn't have that Burst that the great ones like Stamkos and Seguin have. His skating just isn't fluid like the future and present Stars.

Have you ever seen Tavares skate..... Plenty more arent the greatest skaters. Skating doesnt make you a star, and although Kadri isnt the strongest skater, his game isnt dependant on speed (although he is deceivingly quick) he slows the game down and creates space with his creativity. I know ill definitely get bashed for this but Kadri plays the game in the offensive zone like Crosby in his rookie season, skate in down the side boards, stop and use elusiveness to maintain possession until theres a play to be made, highly dependent on vision and creativity.

Yes but he's much improved, he works like a Dog on his game.
